    Looking for a good tuner..............

Noticed there are a few M156 tuners. Most advertise 30+ hp gain and one 47hp gain. Your comments/recommendations are appreciated.

Eurocharged, Weistec, Renntech, and OE Tuning are your best choices.

What you pick will come down to personal preference, location, and tuning needs.

Top notch My ass Click here to enlarge You call that MHP $#@! top notch. I suggest to the OP if he wants his ECU to be destroyed, then send it to MHP.

Weistec numbers on their site are very conservative. So if you find 47 horsepower on their website, it is 47 HP and probably more.

The same thing that happened with my bro's SL63 Stage1+ Weistec supercharger. They stated 538rwhp and my bro's SL63 ended up making 603 rwhp!!!

Now that's what I call a top notch tuner. Not some douchebag claiming numbers that he can't get aka MHP Click here to enlarge

In all honestly it comes down to a few things.

    - Your location as its always nice to have a resource locally
    - Trust in the person playing with the hardware! Do you research on the tuner and check the forums!
    - Price! In this day and age, there is no reason to pay a premium on the M156.
    - Customer support
    - The amount of cars the tuner has done! (we topped 5000 last month!)

All the options previously suggested are great and will give you a great product!

Interesting that the 4 you recommend as "best" all sponsor GermanBoost.

While those are good choices, there are others equally as good.

OP, I think you made a solid choice with Weistec. If I were tuning an M156, I'd probably go with Weistec or Kleemann. Good luck - any chance we can see pre and post-tune dynos?

Hey Jake, you guys do the tuning for UGR, their TT setups? I thought they did that in-house. Good stuff - those are impressive vehicles.

Thought about the dyno, but the time it would take to schedule , I just removed the ECU and shipped it.

GermanBoost sponsors are all good choices? No kidding.

Who are the others equally as good? Because those sponsors have the fastest benzes and the only other tuner you mentioned has not done anything of merit in years. Their biggest thing as of late is distributing Weistec products.

    Please back your statements up.

Sure, they're good choices. Just funny that you rattle off four choices as his best bets - and the list is every M156 tuner who pays to sponsor your site.

Six months ago, an N/A M156 with MBH headers and a custom Kleemann tune made 472 whp on CA 91. To back that statement up, here's the source:

    http://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w2...hp-431wtq.html

Frankly, while I like and respect Renntech's offerings for AMGs - they actually don't appear very popular (based on forum comments/activity) for M156 tuning. M157, sure, different story. However, Kleemann is one of the names you see over and over again for tuned C63's, along with MHP, OE, and Eurocharged.

Why is it funny BenzBoost has the best tuners?

I think kleemann is a solid option but I hardly see it over and over. Believe that dyno you referenced was posted here, prefer internal links to the same content
