Why is it hard to play PC games on a laptop?

Not many games out on Macs....... lol.

No but don't you need crazy graphics card and whatnot to play PC games?? Like ones that won't fit on laptops? or has PC technology really advanced... (I've been on macs and out of PC gaming for quite some time...)

I have dual video cards in my laptop, it doesn't have trouble with anything.

If you're paying 1k graphic cards you're doing it wrong. Consoles are nice, but you're so limited. With PC you're possibilities are endless. From mods to ENB.
But we don't have endless bugfixes, no need to upgrade hardware all the time to run that hi-res texture map (Xbox 720 will probably showcase Avatar-like graphics > PC), we can play on our nice Full HD Tvs from the sofa in the living room Click here to enlarge

So you can probably cook eggs on it? Despite the cooling fans running at full speed and drowning out the game sounds Click here to enlarge

The cooling actually isn't that bad. The laptop will get warm and cool but it's really not terrible. Wish they would implement this water cooling solution a company just came out with:

I've got a projector setup in my basement so I'm not limiting myself to playing on a monitor or even a tv. You don't even have to upgrade hardware as often as people say. You can run games on High or even Medium and use FXAA or even ENB and the games looks like it's running on Ultra. They have to dumb down the graphics on consoles just so they can run the game. I don't have anything against consoles, but I think we all know if you want perfection you have to go with PC.

Look at this video of Skyrim. Make sure you watch it 1080p.

Some people live long, meaningful lives.

Other people eat shit and die.

I'm not racist, I hate everybody equally; especially fat people.

I can get you mods to bring the graphics engine beyond what they even let you set in the game. Or you could post a 3DMark benchmark score/video.
