    Dueling Widebody C74's

One Hundred Tuning Club in Beijing, China has prepped a set of Mercedes C63′s with our wide body C74 conversion package. The end result has produced one mean looking set of twins.

    Here's a few shots....

I had seen these picture a while back and I wondered if the rear fenders we cut and welded for the install? It doesn't look like it was and I would strongly consider doing this on my rear fenders to be able to run a larger tire.

It's a good question as it does look like an addon piece, @mark@renntech @m54b25

Wow, that is great is there pricing on just the rear fenders? Is it possible I can just get the rear fenders with out anything else? Please pm pricing.. I am sure we could get some sort of a group buy going as I would assume there would be alot of interest for this?

Also can you explain a little on how the peices are attached.. thanks

i'm not sure how i feel about the flare on top of an existing flare . also , without cutting the oem fender , how does a person fit a wide wheel and tire combo without rubbing on the oem fender ? do you have to go back to oem ride height to adjust for the suspension travel not to rub ?

either front or back . if these are just basically a stick on item with no cutting , the oem fenders will still be in the same position and the wheel and tire will be sticking out beyond the oem fenders . if the wheel and tire compress , isn't there a chance of rubbing the tire against the oem fender ? maybe i'm just looking too much into it but i will admit that it's nice to look at . i went back and forth for about a year about doing fender flares , before even sending my car to Weistec , but figured without spending a ton of money and making the car heavier than it already is....was i really going to gain that much from it ? i also spoke to Josh about his custom flares and he told me that he got very little traction from his setup and his is 11" wide . i am very happy with my 9.5s with Yokohama Neovas .

the other issue i see is that with these flares , you are not gaining that much more tire width . it's not like you're adding an extra 3 inches of tread to the ground . i have a 9.5 rear right now . i'm guessing these flares can hold a 10 or 10.5 rear so you get another inch of tire . to me , the cost wasn't worth it unless i could stick maybe a 12 wide in the rear . when you have over 600whp , IMO , another inch of wheel and tire doesn't help . plus , you are spending a ton of money and gaining weight by going to a larger wheel and tire . i'm trying to lose all the extra pounds i can ( on the car and myself ) to get quicker .

my car is my weekend toy and my highway roll racing toy , so my opinion might not be the same as others but that's why it's just my opinion .
