    F10 M5 vs C6Z with a tune

Very impressive considering Z06 owners have claimed multiple 127-130 MPH traps BONE stock.

I don't see how you could call bull$#@!. The Z06 driver is no pro, and he does make a few "slower" shifts but none the less does a good job and hits a lot of gears fast.

The 3rd race is the cleanest, and even in that race the Z06 looks like it gets the hit, or at least has full power before the BMW does by a slight margin. By 150mph it's 2.5 cars ahead.

It's not the first time seeing $#@!ty videos from Gustav. The SC'd Viper which lost to M6 is the most famous but as i said it's the result that i would except from a bone stock Z06 with this kind of not good driver.

I'm not buying it either; if the F10 M5 was tuned, running more boost, etc., then maybe. The M5 is a 120 MPH trap car on average based on the early reviews, and we've seen Z06's in the mid to high 120's stock.

Just can't believe this is the result from a roll...I know the M is making more HP, but it's also giving away 1000+ pounds and worse aerodynamics than the Z06.

The Z doesnt have any body lift when it go's, its just cruising, i agree the 3rd run is the best and most likely of it, but even then, at random points it slows down, and again when the m5 hits its limiter, the Z should keep pulling, but the Z driver never knows it hit its limiter so he is just pacing the car...

I was at a mile event with a sc viper and we probably had about 10 runs each and my best on gps was 174 and he was like 172. I know the driver is a big part but we were together all day and that was his best.

You can not possibly argue this by the information we have seen at this point.

We have had very few independent tests with an M5, and it's trapped in the 122 region already.

The Z06 has been with us since 06' and the record for years was 127mph done in negative DA with drag radials, with many magazines for years showing us 121-124mph. INCLUDING the 2012 MotorTrend Best Handeling car were in Z06 Centennial Z07 did 122.5....
And the Z06 had a slight pull. AGAIN

Z06 looks like it is pulling. That can't be the only car the F10 M5 ran that day.

Not a fan of Gustav's videos. It seems like he cherry picks race videos to be shown.

Z has gone 130 on nothing but a tire. People drastically underestimate what proper shift is in high hp cars.

The Z walks away from a Gpower s/c'd M3, now, not much is known about gpowers kit, but one would think its in the 125+ range... so they are trying to say the M5 is stronger than a s/c M?

I think the Z is not balls out every run and possibly pacing the M5. The M is one impressive ride no matter how you shape it, the 3rd run to me is what I would expect between the two. Entertaining in either car

There's no doubt the Z06 is not shifting as well as someone like Ranger, the only one capable of getting that 128+ trap from a stock one but if you listen to the video he's cracking them off quite well. Just my .02 this is pretty good real world example and nothing less

You got not negative repped for being pointless in this thread. Read the original post or just any part of the information already provided and save some bandwith by not repeating it

You are also talking about 1 Z06 that's done that (130) out of every single one one in the world, that somehow "makes stock" what the highest put down, and what many put down with dyno time.

i see anywhere from 126-128+ for stock ones, so a 130 for one is an outlayer, but that m5 still isnt a 126+ car stock

It's really rare for a Z06 to hit 128 man, that's just my .02. Down in the Southeast with the humidity/heat it just about never happens until the cool weather hits and then it's still really rare. 121-124 mid low 11 is the norm with a good driver from what i've seen over the last 4+ years

You need to see more. I just saw a bone stock one go 127 a couple weeks ago.

    Z06 needs a driver mod. A C6Z with a tune will $#@! slap the F10 M5 back to Germany.

Gustav always makes the M5 appear stronger than it truly is, he has a hard on for it.

This is true, the Z06 is not a 127 or whatever car in normal conditions. However, with even a decent tune it should walk away. The transmission in the F10 M5 does wonders in this race.
