When they announced they are doing a charged M5 it took the kit two years to come to market. Even then they did some revisions and started officially selling it six months later. This gace me a real bad taste hence selling my S85.

Doesn't surprise me, they soon will run out of new cars to supercharge. Look at BMW's lineup in the US, the M3 is soon to be the only normally aspirated model sold. By the sound of it that is soon to change as well. (128i will surely get the N20 also)

With the entire BMW lineup going to FI from factory, companies like ESS will be left to do tunes only. Or kits for older cars.

Gonna be very hard for anyone to justify not using Weistec for AMG's unless someone like ESS is just giving away blowers.

Come in with a good product at a good price point with some solid results and they'll sell

They announced this a long time ago and nothing has happened since.

The ESS product is vaporware at the moment.

i actually called ESS yesterday to get some info on it and they told me that the kit is done after 2 years of working on it . they will be available in 60-90 days on the market . they are going to sell a low boost , non-intercooled version for somewhere around $10,000 and the higher boost , intercooled version will be $13,000 - $14,000 . of course they will not give any power numbers until they figure out what the tranny can hold , which they said they are testing right now . you would think after 2 years , they would have figured that out already .

obviously Weistec is way ahead of every one in this game Click here to enlarge

They said this about the M5/M6 kit years ago.

    Don't hold your breath.
