Anyone else frightened to death of domestic cars?

Dodge chargers, of any color with tinted windows.

Domestic SUV's like big suburbans make me cry a little when I see them.

Crown vic's scare the $#@! ouf of me.

Chevy minivans cause me to $#@! my pants.

I am afraid of driving most and having them fall apart... and no that is not a fan boy comment; it's a testament to American quality. Take the Mustang, Vette and Viper away and you are in 80's Russia.

i stayed away from American cars for over 15 years and i went to 2007 Tahoe LTZ "black of course" and i must admit its the best car i ever owned . besides the normal service the truck has been aces . came with 100k drivetrain warranty and @ 93k miles the dealer installed a new transmission under warranty . tahoe has 117k miles on it and runs great . I did have to install new suspension and a new pump for the air ride as well as a water pump but im one happy GM customer .

now on the flip side since 1997 i have owned a 96 s500 which was a money pit bomb , 2001 clk which at 40k miles became a bomb , 2001 e430 sport that went thru 5 transmissions under warranty and 2 harmonic balancers , 2004 745LI that had a host of electrical problems , 2006 Audi A8L that was great with no problems at all , 2008 e63 amg 3 transmissions ,2008 and a 2010 rx350 lexus for the wife that both were trouble free and my current 2008 CL63 that so far so good but it only has 23k on the clock.

    my ratings would be

    audi # 1
    lexus #2
    tahoe #3
    Bmw # 4
    MB #5

I know that feeling. You think they are all cops.

I am exactly the same way to a point that I actually think I am sick.

Apparently no one else knows what you are talking about...

I wouldn't mind if most cops didn't think they have complete control and authority over the average citizen. They will force you or else. Literally beat the $#@! out of you, write a worse ticket, pull out their gun.

Can you imagine pulling your concealed carry out on a cop? Do THEY ever think what that feels like!? I've had it happen, for $#@!ing WALKING. No weapons and nothing in my hands!

I've been put in handcuffs because the dumb ass assumed I didn't have my motorcycle certification on my license. I've been pulled over and my car trashed searching for stuff just because someone called saying I was going fast and they knew my sister gets in trouble a lot. They had NO evidence! But that doesn't matter, because they are cops! The $#@!ing state protects them!

I see cops fly past at 100MPH in busy traffic. I see cops flick their lights on to cross a red light, then flick them off.

What happens when you have a case against someone that keyed your car? Nothing. What happens when you get knocked out by an object, with a chipped nose bone and your wallet stolen? A police report and then they jet to go write more traffic tickets.

They don't care about actually cleaning up downtown. They want to write you a ticket for going 71 in a 60. Because that makes society better.

Oh, and they stop you in the middle of the street, yell and curse at you when they are off duty and you ride your loud motorcycle. I just smile and go on my way.

    $#@! that.

They do get carried away, luckily the road I travel often I've figured out where the usually stand at so it does help. Besides that I'm usually speeding around. I'm not saying I'm a aggressive driver but if it's a three lane road and empty I'm not going to go 35. I've seen a lot of unmarked cars around here as well.

V8 just means I'll get like 5mpg in the city instead of the 10-15 I get now (I have a very very heavy right foot)... I'm more likely going to stick to my X or trade in for a diesel version

The diesel is hopeless. But then again where i live i have never seen a I6 TT or anything with a diesel in an X5 or X6.

All we have are V8 or V8 TT. And they sound mean, my friend's got an X5M. Now that's a real SUV.
