Problem is he wants that super concave look. In order for certain wheels to achieve that look, they take on additional material and weight. The forgestars are actually not that bad, but there are definitely lighter wheels out there.

Guys just to clear up some of the misinformation in this thread.

If you want to know what actually happened with Eugene's see page 10 (I can't post links yet sorry)

You'll see it was a inner lip issue from a supplier with a bad batch of parts that affected EVERY manufacturer that purchased 22" step lips from our Triangle - not just us. And I want to reiterate Triangle makes the best parts possible and the total defect affected 12 parts total from them out of literally thousands we've used. We stand behind them and they stand behind their product. Unfortunately failures in a manufacturing process do occur from time to time.

About where we manufacture - Yes we contract out time to build our wheels on MHT's machines. Over half the aftermarket wheels in the country are manufactured at MHT. We source our parts from ARS/Triangle like every other high quality wheel manufacturer in the U.S.

On the issue of weight - we have lightweight wheels as well. But keep in mind a Concave profile wheel will weigh more than a flat faced spoke design any day of the week as they inherently require less material in the spoke design. The wheels mentioned by 930Chas were a Deep Concave forging - our heaviest forging we produce.

I tried to post links to a thread on M3 post where user "MR///M3" posts his wheel weights. I'm sure if you search there in wheel/tire you can find the thread.

As you can see a 20X11 for an M3 with low offsets and NO weight reduction on it at comes in at 26lbs. That's in line with any/every other 3-piece forged wheel manufacture out there. We've got 18x12" SL Monoblocks at 18.9lbs for a huge concave Gallardo fitment for example.

Just wanted to clear up a few things in this thread. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Not here to try and start anything or argue with you guys - just wanted to inject some of the recent facts about Euguene's issues and make a case for our wheel weights.

    Thank you!

As a guest vendor you are not allowed to post links period.

As a courtesy you will be allowed to do that, thanks for the post.

Telling people to search on M3post for things is not exactly what I want to see though.
