Hard to believe I know. Beyond losing Manning, the city and the franchise (and all the fans) now have to wonder how many years they'll need to wait to have a legitimate contender again. Luck looks to have the tools and skills to get it done, but pro football is such a different game than college ball. The kid is gonna' need a couple (or several) years under his belt to get some wins on the board and get the Colts back into contention. I can't even recall who the Colts have as a 2nd string QB to tutor the young man...

Looks likes espn puts Jets, Redskins, Cardinals, Dolphins at the top of the list.

In my opinion Peyton would never go to New York and compete against his brother in the same city. Why would he go to the Redskins, that franchise and owner is a mess. Dolphins...maybe, but why? Who is on the team besides lame Brandon Marshall.

I have a strong feeling he will be in a Cardinals jersey next year. Throw to one of best, possibly the best wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald. It won't be difficult for him to win the NFC West every year.

So everyone is expecting Luck to be the greatest QB of all time? Because that is what he would need to be to top Peyton. It isn't happening and the Colts are going to S T I N K.

Hope he goes to the Texans.

I don't see how the Cardinals make sense when the 49ers came on so strong. Ok, so they have a dome. Ok, Larry Fitzgerald. They also have a terrible defense and nothing else.

I'd go to the Texans and whoop on the Colts.

I dont expect the colts to be good next year...if they are 3-13 i WONT be mad as long as Luck shows signs of hope. In fact, being a Colts fan, I dont want Luck to be as good as manning because he will demand Manning money and our defense will be crippled again. I am excited about the new look Colts...but then again, I am a Colts fan...not Indianapolis Manning fan.....

*Although I do love Peyton Manning and what he did for this franchise....I will root for him as long as they are not playing the Colts!!!

Why won't Texans happen? It is the most logical choice.

The 49ers were pretty damn good all season man. That isn't a team that is a joke. We are talking a fluke from going to the superbowl.

Im a niners fan if by some luck he ends up there it is game over with that hard hitting defense and coaching staff. Smith is ok....as a back up and i am amazed they did as good as they did without a real offense last year.

Cardinals defense is not terrible. They got some ballers on the defensive side. Darnell Dockett and Adrian Wilson will rip someones head off.

Let Peyton run the offense. Coach Whinsenhunt should concentrate on defense and stop calling plays, he is a defensive coach after all.

Peyton would own the 49ers, if he joined the Cardinals. Alex Smith had one good year. He absolutely SUCKED the rest of his career.

Dockett and Wilson but who else? They lost their best DB. They lost their quality linebackers. You can't just have 2 awesome veterans on a defense. If they still had Cromartie I *might* make the stretch but this isn't their superbowl defense.

I'm not ready to believe this. The Cardinals even with Peyton would not be the favorites in that division.

    I say Texans...
