Mac Internet loading speeds very inconsistent

I've had this same problem with my iMac but it seems much worse on my new Macbook Pro.
It's very, very aggravating Click here to enlarge

The damn spinning wheel of death thing ( not to mention the Mac rainbow one ) goes on and on until I finally click to reload. Sometimes it takes a few clicks. A lot of the time, it won't load any images. There are too many youtube vids, I dont know which to trust or not. There must be some kind of simple fix or something in my settings. I'm not sure

Use a virtual Windows7 machine. That will work.

are you using safari? it sucks in my opinion. Do yourself and your mac a favor and download the latest google chrome browser, its lightning fast compared to safari and gets updated more so less bugs. Look up benchmarks and see for yourself

I use all 3; Chrome, Safari and FF. FF is the worst, I think. I've always preferred Chrome but I still have this issue. i don't think it's the browser but I have no idea anyway.

I pay for the fastest internet from Suddenlink. I think it should be much quicker, but the inconsistency really grinds my gears. I can click youtube multiple times on different windows and browsers and get different reactions.

I use google's DNS servers... They are pretty quick to resolve, and I can care less if they know what I look at, as they most likely do already.

On another note - a good thing to do, is check what active connections you have (open BASH/shell - type "netstat -n")

Do this now, and then reboot - wait a few minutes and try again. Post your results.

I say our OT is unpredictable and rather awesome. This is the greatest moment in our OT in my opinion but some people won't get it.
