Mercedes AMG and Cigarette collaborate for a Black Series Marauder 50 foot speedboat
Mercedes AMG Black Series cars are awesome. Cigarette speedboats are awesome. What is not to like with combining the two? Introducing the Black Series Marauder 50 foot speedboat. The boat has twin Mercury engines good for a combined 2700 horsepower. So what does the boat have in common with the C63 AMG Black Series that is said to serve as the inspiration other than the paint scheme and Alcantara touches? Who cares, stupid question, this boat is just plain badass whether it shares much of anything with the car or not.

Mercedes-AMG and Cigarette Racing took their alliance to a new level with the debut of the "Black Series" 50' Marauder Cigarette boat, inspired by the C63 AMG Black Series
While each brand's products always exemplify the ultimate in performance and luxury, the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series and Inspired by AMG "Black Series" 50' Marauder represent the next level in excellence.
Arriving in U.S. dealerships this April, the C63 AMG Black Series is the most powerful C-Class of all time, boasting a maximum output of 510 hp and a maximum torque of 457 lb-ft. The high-revving AMG 6.3-liter V8 delivers a 0-60 sprint in just 4.2 seconds and a top speed of 186 mph.
Introduced at the 2012 Miami Boat Show, the Inspired by AMG "Black Series" 50' Marauder features striking black and white design scheme is carried throughout from the Mercedes color-matched paint to the all-newly designed interior, upholstered with luxurious Alcantara.
Billet aluminum pieces -more than 100-are integrated throughout, customized for the AMG Black Series boat, incorporating a new formula of anodizing and corrosion resistance. Billet is featured on the dash, grab handles, seat supports, sound system and in numerous trim accents.
Powered by two Mercury Racing 1350 (2700 total hp.) engines, the boat's speed is matched only by its smooth efficiency, running on pump fuel, without headers, with a warranty, combining for an exciting day on the water for the most discerning performance boat aficionado.
Founded upon mutual respect and product admiration, Mercedes-AMG and Cigarette Racing have developed a long-standing professional relationship. In 2010, Cigarette Racing revealed the "Inspired by AMG" 46' Rider, inspired by the SLS AMG.
The Cigarette 46' Rider featured hand-applied AMG ALUBEAM silver paintwork, also available on the SLS AMG. This process, used exclusively by AMG, covers body surfaces like a metallic skin, targeting light reflections to further emphasize exterior character lines and design details.

But will it beat the Corvette boat?
Superboat builder Marine Technology, Inc. has cranked out a flotilla of oddly themed speedboats over the past few years, fromMercedes SLR wraps to Looney Tunes. But this latest effort — a 2,700-hp deathboat styled with Corvette cues and badges — somehow works.
Built with Corvette parts and carbon fiber, the ZR48 could pass for the Dark Knight's navy. Power comes from a pair of twin-turbo Mercury Marine V8s good for 1,350 hp each.
If the engines are too loud, there's a 8,000-watt sound system, built into another engine block and hooked up to an Apple TV and mobile WiFi. The cockpit — accessed from an electric sliding canopy — can hold six, as the pilot steers with an authentic C6 dash, showing that adherence to the theme trumped any aesthetic concerns.
But wait, there's more. Since MTI superboats are too wide to be hauled on most roads, they need a custom trailer to safely tilt the boat on its side.
And who wants a plain old trailer when you can instead create a mechanic's shop/rolling DJ booth with a generator, power washer, engine flush system, five TVs and 900 LED lights for that ground-effect glow all the girls go crazy for.
Sure, some of you would look this whole package over, see the asking price of $1.7 million and wonder not only whether it was worth it, but ask who would spend that much cheddar on such an expensive toy. Clearly you've never been wealthy enough to understand how money can expand your horizons. And you'll never be Batman.

I said it about the 46' they built and I'll say it about this one too - LAME. Nothing AMG related except the paint and on an offshore boat I'd rather have Imron paint.
