Gintani used 8f for their teaser. There are different crank modes as well. Tons of modes it seems.

shootout mode is specifically a mode one can not tamper with and it provides for uniform rear wheel numbers on dyno dynamics around the world. But it reads REALLY low so nobody uses it unfortunately.

Well he claimed it was at the wheels earlier so he was wrong but beyond that I don't know why he is throwing this in Renntech's thread especially considering he did not quite understand what he was posting anyway.

Ah, okay. So Gintani used "8f" - this one uses "SHOOT_8" - anyone know what the difference is?

I see on the bottom of the graph, "System is in Shootout Standard Mode. Class: SHOOT_8." - so this isn't considered a "shootout mode"?

DD's are confusing. There seem to be dozens of configurations and correction factors... I've seen DD's read really low, but others read higher than even DJ numbers, same vehicle/mods. They should just call it "crapshoot mode" because it seems so dependent on how that specific DD is setup.

No, the "classes" are different modes. Shootout mode specifically says so on the graph and you can't mess with the correction and so forth as you can see a large correction factor in the lower left of this graph.

Yes, they are very confusing and this is why I prefer a dynojet for comparisons.

For someone to think a tuner is hitting 600 at the wheels in shootout mode at on a dyno dynamics means they have no idea what they are talking about.

The point of shootout mode is to not make it a crapshoot though but you know how people are with low numbers. Then you have to explain it, put it in context, blah blah blah, and stupid people still won't get it.

@Sticky WTF happened here, a quarrel among DYNO's LOL. Anyway as you state you stick by RENNtech figures, as a RENNTECH customer since 04 with my 02 MCS til recently with my 335d, I am inclining towards them 'cause their product has been great, on the other hand other turners they can say what they want to say, if they actually do impress by numbers well ok for me, otherwise I am a RENNtech customer for life.

It wasn't even a discussion in mind. Some no name tuner from the UAE with some random graph with no 1/4 mile number support is on Renntech's level? Don't think so.
