    Fix-it ticket for registration

I had just sent a check to FL to renew my registration and then I got pulled over and got a 20 day fix-it ticket to register in Cali. I called to cancel the check for the renewal. I'm not sure what to do now.

I'd rather be registered in FL so I can get away with tints and no front plate.
I'll have to take my car in for smog checks and crap and to get my title will take a while through the mail.
I think I should just resend a check to FL and renew.

Also, the ticket is in another county like 4 hours away.
I signed that I'd be present but I didn't know about 'county seat' or anything. I din't realize I accepted to appear, I just thought I was signing the ticket :/

Just get it written off at a CHP facility(if you plan to fix it) and send the fine through the mail. You don't necessarily have to appear. Just take care of it(pay fines) before the due date. You don't have to be present. Handle it through mail if possible.

Isn't it like $100 to pay it off? Might be worth it if you don't want to drill holes in the bumper...how much to renew in FL?

    Moved to general automotive.

You should be able to get a fix-it signed off anywhere.

Probably a good idea. Better than driving down there.
