Well now you know. Do the "tetherMe" it will enable the native tethering on your device without the ATT BS.

Android has that function build in from the start. Has it from 2.1 onward.

I think this is just ATT being greedy.

Right you didn't sorry, didn't mean to incorrectly assume.
Android phones are more mod friendly yes, but they still have their limitations.

Why would you say Japanese cars are able to make oodles of power?
AMGs can, BMWs can... every car can be modified.
The GTR, from my limited knowledge on it, seems to be much more difficult to modify (tune wise) than say a 335i...

I agree with you in that we should be able to do what we want, but you have to remember that they need to put limitations for the masses. If you want to tune, you can tune, it's not impossible.
and with the iPhone, a JB was out almost immediately, but it was tethered :/. so it's not as if Apple made it impossible, just inconvenient...

    Once you're done, open Cydia.

IIRC, it's on the home screen, if not, go to search and type it in.

If this is your first time Jailbreaking then you'll probably need some guidance....@Sticky
Once your jailbroken then you'll need to add some repositories(repos) in order to get certain tweaks. Not all repos offer tweaks for free, its all a matter of knowing what repos do offer them for free.
So once your jailbreak is complete do the following...

Tap your cydia icon and tap "manage" on the bottom right hand corner. it will take you to a screen that looks like this:
Then select "Sources" in the middle of the screen.
    you will then see this:
Tap edit on the top right. you will see this:
Tap "add" you will see this:
    enter this:
    cydia.xsellize.com/

After you have done the above, in Cydia search "tetherme" and install!

Once you have installed tetherme, go to your settings and enable your mobile hotspot! Only thistime you wont get all the ATT BS!!
