    Diffrent Airboxes for the M156

So far we have seen a couple of airboxes in the market for this platform and some are yet to be released. So far we have seen these:

the airboxes that are yet to be released and so far are expected to give more HP gains than the previous airboxes we've seen:

RENNtech's looks like a great design. I am very interested in those numbers as well. Hopefully its not $6,000 for 25 crank HP.

I don't think Keith(dads) intake/hood kit is going to be available for anyone else but Keith.

The new RENNtech box looks good but something tells me the price is going to be in the stratosphere and I would love to see some kind of shield to keep heat away from the filters since they're in the engine compartment.

True that. They are almost completely covering the intake manifold. Never mind the heat shielding for the filters, how about the intake not getting enough room to vent heat. You can also forget icing the intake at the track as well...

There's also a new RENNtech v2 air box coming out very soon that has shown very promising improvements on the dyno.

First of all - what is with the HUGE FONT ??????

Second - there is no such thing as a "Superstar" intake. Superstars is a race series, not a manufacturer. The C63 you used as an example is just one of the intakes the different teams use. In the video below, you can clearly see the OEM intake and airbox being used by another team. So you can take that one and Dad's off the list.

Isn't the Carlsson just simply an adaptation of the stock SLS intake?

Are you serious, bummer hehe I don't know if you noticed I did my build myself.

I was curious because it seems like a lot of work to manufacture something like that and it's not brought to market.

    Yes I saw your build

Anyway, I just wanted to point out that the Renntech intake won't work with supercharged M156's simply because they won't be aligned with the re-positioning of the throttle bodies
