MHP is not worthy of a thread, I just figured that since they are touting some new product they might have some info...I guess I was wrong.

Where are "they" (whoever "they" are) touting some new product?

All I see is one of MHP's customers posting his new record-setting track results. Yes, when directly asked about his tune, he answered that it's new - that's literally the extent of any "touting" one could perceive...

Congrats Mike,I will try to make it next time.
On a side note, how much E.T. is lost not running the skinnies up front,a tenth or two? Impressive for changing your set-up&not running the skinnies

My mistake - thank you for the correction.

Crazy that he raised his own bar, without skinnies this time.

I agree. His traps would come up for sure with the skinny's. I believe his previous best time was .011 slower and 1 MPH trap higher. His previous 60' was also better. The skinny's should help though but that would be a different run so the air might not be as favorable. I believe a 1/2 10th is probable with the skinnys on if all the conditions are met. Even better if he can get a track day with some neg DA.

    Either way, nice run.

EDIT: Sorry my bad, this was in some Neg DA. -447 at the time of the run. 10.795 @ 130.283 MPH Corrected.

While those times are very fast indeed...I would expect more than a .5mph and .01sec gain over previous times when going from version 3 to version 4 tune.
Dodger - what did you pay for the new tune ?

The gain was a bit more then that considering I wad using skinnies, the weather was better but sjinnies are a solid .10 in my opinion

    Just to be thorough.

his previous best going my MBW's post was done in -1398 DA This corrects to 10.923 @ 129.575 MPH
his current run was done in -447 DA without the skinnys. It corrects to 10.795 @ 130.283

So 10.923@129 improved to 10.795@130 without the skinnys looks like an amazing improvement from the last record.

I believe looking at it this way makes it much more significant. Its 0.128 lower in ET and 0.708 increase in MPH. Again without the skinnys.

Congrats again. Looks like some solid gains.

I hear what you're saying...I was just going off the posted slips. While I understand the use of correction, I don't pay much attention to it - you run what you run. Taking nothing away from Dodger, his car is damn fast for NA and no power adder.

I agree. Every run is different but correction is used to really understand gains. It removes the perfect DA from the equation. The correction number will never count toward a record but for your own personal knowledge on how much you are realistically running better or worse.

He keeps saying the air was better though so im really not sure of the best time on MBW is current. I cant see how he would think today was better air so I guess there is another run in between that was better? /shrug

Mjike, I am not trying to take anything away from your time or hijack your thread but why did you not have your skinnies on? That would be the equavilant of me turning down my boost, you have skinnies, why not run them??? You went to the trouble of taking out half your interior so why not take 7 minutes more to bolt on the skinny front runners?

corrected numbers are only allowed if you are MHP or run MHP products...when anyone makes mention of corrected times for my 10.82 I ran in Vegas in a +3000 DA or the 10.62 I ran at Byron in a +2230 DA I get laughed out of the thread LOL...life is great if you're an MHP fanboy.

I do not own skinnies, I tried borrowing for this rental but couldn't, trust me if i had them or access to a set they would be on.. after a huge amount of let's say research I have decided on a set to purchase,

This is an information forum so questions are great. So no worries of hijacking.

I don't believe in corrected numbers but, if you use it to say level your playing field to figure out if mods worked or not I think its a good tool? Again my opinion.

Ahh this thread brings me back to 1 year ago almost to the day. ATCO. 12/2/2010. Dodger ran a 10.9 I believe and JRCART and LZH said "Its not possible" for about 10 pages.

    Funny how history repeats itself.

what size front skinnies do you run? I have a set of 18s I don't use with about a dozen passes on them. I think they will fit. Are you planning on attending Bradenton? I will bring them and you can bolt em on to see if they fit and they are yours for $250 if you want them (rims and tires) CCWs.
