C63 Black Series estate / station wagon coming?

Um, this seems to be an answer to a question nobody asked. We have already received the coupe and the sedan is likely coming as well but we just can not figure out why Mercedes would want to do an estate version. The Black Series is supposed to be a hardcore and more track focused version of the base AMG car and we just can not imagine too many station wagon owners wishing their vehicle carved corners better. The pictures do not lie and Mercedes is testing it but the European market is likely where this will have any appeal.

I would much rather have this, than an ugly Panamera. Still, it doesnt make much sense in the USA.

I think this is the F1 Support/Medical car with some updates for the 2012 season. This would make a great option package for Europe and wherever else this wagon is sold.

There's no real point to any sports car, they're all about fun and they're supposed to be a little ridiculous.Sure, this is a bit more ridiculous than many other sporty cars but is it any more ridiculous than an R63 AMG (which sold poorly) or the ML or G class AMGs (which sell quite well)? I think they'd find some buyers for such a thing, I'd personally prefer the sedan or coupe but I wouldn't ever turn down the opportunity to drive this black series wagon, either.

Think of it this way, if you want an AMG now you can have one with almost as much space as an ML without the high ride if that's what you prefer.

I guess what I'm trying to say is noone needs any AMG, but plenty of people want them and buy them. Did the old guy driving next to me need an ML63? No. Did he want one so he could shut down young whipper snappers like me? Hell yes he did....it's just too bad I had JB4 and got the jump on him so he had to stare at my tail lights, but maybe this just created a desire within him for an ML65 Click here to enlarge
