Fair enough. And if those prices quoted are correct that's a total ripoff.

dont bother.....you wont find any. The guy put down the best headers for this M159 engine and coupled it with a mean tune.

Its Germany. They are always expensiveClick here to enlarge. Normally in europ, it would cost around 50 Euros to ship an ECU. For some reason, PP-performance only ship priority outside of EuropeClick here to enlarge

If I was living in Europe, PPP would be my first choice.
Mr. Judge? LOL, okay. As for your tuning decision... fair enough. You're opting not to use PPP, because apparently it's a hassle you'd rather avoid. That's fine, and makes sense - if you'd said as much the first time, I (for one) wouldn't have been confused by your comment. Carlsson is an extremely reputable option - I imagine you'll be quite satisfied. Curious that Kleemann isn't under consideration, given that Kleemann USA is in Colorado... but whatever floats your boat.

I hope you see the confusion, in hindsight, by what you first claimed:

Your post makes it sound like you're prohibited for some reason from using the tuner you'd prefer to use, and it also makes it sound like you live in Germany (or, at least, Europe). Turns out, neither is the case. Understood.

Those are some very broad conclusions you reached. Clarification was provided with additional questions so there was really no need for assumption since he answered all questions.

Really? I'm not sure I see that, but even so - what's your point? I tend to read posts and their phrasing literally, instead of guessing what someone might be trying to convey. Crazy I know.

"I wish I could use XYZ, but I am unable to do so" is different from "Due to my location, I'm unwilling to deal with the hassle of using XYZ, so I'm using my first alternate ABC instead."

"I'm getting my tune from ABC in Germany" implies a different situation than "I'm getting my tune from ABC in Vegas."

You're a nit-picky guy, I'm sure you see the differences. Yes, he answered the questions, which is why I concluded my post with "Understood." No need for further clarification - I got it.

My point is mostly just to give him a chance to answer before kind of coming down on him. I think you were being slightly nit picky I am just saying to give him an opportunity to explain which he did and now we know. I just want to know how or why someone in the US thinks Pelka is the best way to go for this motor/car.

    No big deal.

According to their site, they have a full tuning program for the SLS...

EDIT: not to mention, of course, the Kleemann/Weistec partnership.

Yep, seems they are an option for the tune as well. Would like to see some results from them though.

the only Mods he has from MHP are the cooling mods for his SL63. his ECU tune was done by PP-Performance runing with the MBH LT headers. You seem to be an MHP haterClick here to enlarge. Its ok, I dont like them either :-)

Ive seen a bunch of others too over there. Doesn't matter, I just thought he was an MHP guy by reading all that stuff. I believe he might have been thinking about going MHP for a while there. Who knows..

Either way, sick sick sick SLS.

I Personally met Jacob with his brother. I have seen them working with Pelka this last summer. Jacob previously had a Techtec ECU tune for his SL63 (same tune used by MHP). He switched his tune with PP-Performance and found an increase of 12rwhp. He also owns a 2011 Porsche Panamera Turbo S, which is also tuned by Pelka. Very Fast Porsche :-). The mods he did for the SLS with his brother is outstanding. They ordered the best Exhaust system for this car, and with Jimmy's tune, there is absoloutely no match for any other NA SLS. He is not an MHP fanboy.

Jacob posts at mbworld. You can ask him for the graphs. I do know that his SL63 is a monster. I've seen him race a couple of tuned C63's runnin with shorties and cat deleates and he beat them. Remember the SL is heavier than the c class

You are in Vegas? Who is the Carlsson dealer here in town? Who is going to install the headers in Vegas? I couldn't find anyone competent or even willing to touch my K2 install. I'd like to hear your car in-person, if I may?

    EDIT-Nevermind. You are in CO.

Just for the record, and perhaps you dont know. Qatar is in the Middle-East, he stated that in post #30. I think he was with the 20th Petroleum congress.

I's a shame they did not display how the collectors are built. Graphite sleeves to allow for movement which are all produced in house.

Those headers made the rest of the headers at SEMA look cheap.
