I just entered Florida.....would have worked out perfect for you...we will chat before my truck goes back west in the event you need a tow.

Jimmy, I used to trailer a J105 which is close enough to 35 feet...no permits needed on the keys.

the length is not the big concern ithe the beam/width, anything over a certain width needs DOT permits from every state its going to travel through. Since its an offshore boat its probably pretty narrow and probably won't need them I have a girl in my office who handles all DOT and haz mat stuff and I can get DOT permits in jst about every state in a matter of minutes should Luke need them.

    You guys are killing me.

No permits needed, Beam is fine Jim (11'), standard triple axle boat trailer but with my dually it's a bit over in length in CA though...I think something like 62' altogether can't remember exactly but never had a prob with CHP. All they care about is registration and tie downs.
No big deal as I just remembered the trailer needs all new brakes so it can't go anywhere until that happens. Forgot that was on my punch list to get done asap LOL.

Keep me posted Earl - that might work out well.

Video is kinda crappy but you get the idea. Going from Marina Del Rey to Long Beach, last scene is doing about 90 behind breakwall in LB. First part is getting some nice air and workin the throttles - can't really tell but we were in some nice big 6-8' swells just blasting. Easy to kill yourself if you don't know what you're doing LOL.

It's definitely a contact sport and if your not paying attention you will get ejected, or worse, get thrown around in the cabin and break something. But that's only when I'm hammering on it. If you just cruise through the big stuff is rides like an AMG. It's fun, but boating on the west coast sucks - there's nothing to do and you can only goto Catalina so many times before it gets old.
    That's why it's for sale...Earl, need a boat ? LOL

Just cruise it around Miami mid Feb during the International boat Show and you will sell it for top dollar. People come from all over the world to that show and to shop for rare and unique boats, I think yours qualifies.

Thanks, Jim. Yeah, that's the idea. Sales in CA during the winter are tough, plus I didn't use it once over the summer and had it repowerd at the end of the previous season and rebuilt the drives. As it sits now it really has no hours on it so I'm hoping to get some use of it over the winter down in FL and possibly sell it down there. Although I'm in no hurry to sell it...it's becoming a bit burdensome as I really can't use it much at all with a new baby around and these things HAVE to be run every few months or you start having big probs, valve springs don't like to stay compressed and if one of those goes at 5000 revs it's game over in an instant and there goes a $40k motor.

Thanks man! Yeah they are just straight pipes right off the headers...the headers and exhaust are water cooled so that keeps the noise down a bit...they have a little cam in'em so they have a nice lump in the idle Click here to enlarge
