get 60 ft down to .5 and your for sure going to have the record for fastest trap speed - looks like your about 1mph off right now. Nice work man, keep the updates coming.

current temp is 73 degrees. Its so crowded they are closing staging lanes in 30 mins, I might get in a 4th pass if I am very lucky...what a joke this test & tune is. There are a bunch of 6 second cars out here and they do 330ft burn outs and then it takes them 3 mins to back up and stage then one of them blows up and oils down the track and clean up takes 45 mins.

AWESOME runs Jim.... at least the longer you wait, the cooler it will get. It'd be really nice if it dips into the 60s Click here to enlarge

According to dragtime's calculator, this was the weather data at 10 pm:

    - Temp: 64.4 F
    - Pressure: 29.94 inches Hg
    - Relative Humidity: 88%
    - Track Elevation: 536 ft
    - Density Altitude: 1229 ft

I don't get it.... you ran 10.80s in 1200 ft, 2600 ft and 5000 ft Click here to enlarge I would've thought your times would have dropped even a tiny bit in a 3500 ft DA difference.

ya Mo, we are confused too, the staging lane issues were bad, all the ice melted in our resevoir, we kept having to start and stop the engine, the motor was hot. We sat in staging area for nearly 2 hours. It doesn't make sense, thought times woulda been quicker.

Is this a different track than before? Also humidity plays a role. But still odd to see no real change, although boosted engines are much less affected

Like I said, not any ice by the time we ran, water was hot, we spent almost two hours in staging lanes before 3rd pass. Track was a joke tonight, on my way home now.

I'm guessing maybe the (almost) 90% humidity may have made up for the difference in DA. Very strange indeed....

It really isn't an exact science but there is room for improvement obviously.

DA adjustment on forced induction vehicles is also a bit of a moving target.

ICE can't make up for air density. It can help you not get as heat soaked though.

Just gotta remember, not everyday can be ur best. For every great day, I personally have about 5 non-great days. But as long as you and the car go home in good shape, its still a good day Click here to enlarge

you are right but I was expecting better than a .170 improvement with last nights conditions vs. The 4990 DA last weekend in Vegas. I'm still not getting my 60s but that's no excuse. I honestly expected better times last night. Don't get me wrong, an improvment is and improvement and I will take what I can get. Headed back in 2 weeks to try to chip away at my times some more.

actually the track prep at Route 66 was not bad the past few times I was out there. That's the place were I was able to lay down quite a few 1.5x 60s last year consistantly. Last night was not perfect but not bad either. I was experimenting with a different spring (firmer than what I ran at Vegas) last night, I think that's why my 60s were poor last night.
