    So, here we go....

Announcing our next cooling upgrade - The evosport evo2 Cooling Package. This is more commonly refered to as Top Mounted Intercoolers or SLR-Style Coolers

We have flow tested the lower splitter for any turbulence or resonance issues, and I will be posting that info shortly.

This package will be a direct upgrade for those with our evo1 Cooling Package or as a stand-alone complete upgrade.

We will have the first article on a member's SL55 (Hi Havoc) this fall.

    Stay tuned for more updates!

    Thanks
    Brad

You probably know how I feel about supporting Evosport but we'll allow this for the benefit of the guys here who might be needing this since I know of no alternatives.

Just hate promoting people who threatened to hurt my family and I.

I really feel bad for Evosport… I visited Weistec Engineering yesterday about their M156 supercharger and let’s just say they have a 55 with a bigger blower on it!!! One of the guys closed the hood on it really quick but I saw enough to know big things are coming!!

Maybe I will go buy a CLS55 again, I loved that car.

I do not feel bad for Evosport at all.

Bigger blower on a 55? I'm surprised I never heard anything about it.

The 55 motors have sort of had their day in the sun. I don't know why there are no upgraded superchargers for them but just how it is. Weistec is tightly focused, and that is why their product is so good.

Who would buy it? Well, for the M156 it is a no brainer IMO. For the M113, I don't know but if it is anywhere near as good then yes.

    So much for that..

Not really, the business case for the M156 is still stronger and still the focus.

It just so happens that one of the guys at Weistec has a 55. So, consider yourself lucky.

Unfortunately the issue is not as black and white as you are making it out to be.

I confirmed the bigger SC with Weistec, no further info beyond that.

The cast pistons are the weak link of the bottom end.

Well it's a lot easier than mounting a positive displacement over a N/A designed engine.

Pistons, not that much. I'd redo the rods as well if you're in there, new SS rings to go with the pistons. You could get the parts for $5-6k (billet 4340 rod, 2618 piston) doing one off's cheaper if purchased in bulk.
