Anyone else pumped up to watch the Colts have a home game at the Super Bowl this season?

The Colts are starting to get old and in need of some new blood. I think this year will be tough for them to make the playoffs. The Eagles are looking more like the team to beat with all their additions. But it could backfire like it did with the heat.

This is what I am thinking as well. The Colts need something different, just reloading every year hasn't been cutting it.

You guys are killing me! The Colts, as a whole, are one of the youngest teams in the NFL due to their philosophy of building through the draft. They very rarely pick up players through free agency. Now, some of their big name players(Manning, Wayne, Saturday) are aging but it doesn't concern me as they are still playing at Pro Bowl levels. They were 10-6 last year and made the playoffs despite having 17 guys on IR and over half these guys were impact players. Austin Collie was one of them, he is a top 5 receiver in the NFL as long as he can avoid concussions.

Until last year, they have won at least 12 games seven years in a row and have made it to the Super Bowl twice in the past 5 years. The good thing about all the injuries last year is that the backups got a lot of valuable experience that will carry over and help the depth this year. If, and this is a big if they can stay healthy I have no doubt that they can make it to the SB. They also added some much needed defensive help through free agency recently so hopefully these guys can make an impact.

Manning only has 3-5 years left so we have to win now!!!

We will see how the Eagles do. You can load your team up with all stars but they have to be able to play together. They are in the NFC anyway so I dont care if they go to the big game, as long as the Colts are on the other side. Click here to enlarge

The Colts won the division last year, but it wasn't in their usual dominating form. They lost alot of their steam because of injuries, but it was also because of Payton, he didn't seem to have the usual confidence he displays and made a lot of mistakes. This year will be alot tougher, they have the Texans and Jaguars hot on their tails and proved they can beat Indy and with Manning's neck surgery, he still hasn't had time to practice with his recievers, like he's done in the past.

How many years did the colts have the best team in the regular season only to have manning play less than stellar and be bounced in the playoffs? Yea more than a few...

Its too bad they did not have a leader like mike curtis on the field!

Eagles are over hyped. Yes they will make the playoffs, but Vick will never win a super bowl.

Austin Collie top 5? Don't think so, not even top 25.

Yep, Peyton didn't close out games. That started in the Super Bowl with the Saints.

It was a hard fought game, the Saints had to reach deep down to pull the win in the end.

I was actually referring to the Saints in my post.

I'm surprised the scoreboard kept up.

I was being sarcastic. It's kinda sadding see the Colts fall like this, but seeing my Texan stomp a mudhole in the Titans made me happy.

Yep, and Irsay is pissed off about Peyton's comments. I think it is safe to say he is gone and not getting his bonus. Better hope Luck pans out, but I doubt he will be another Manning as nobody will be.
