    Just got my tires!!

    Hi everyone!!!!

I just got my 235/35/19 , 275/30/19 Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta set up from SORAT WHEELS & TIRES out west, it took 4 Days to get here!!
I am so excited to get these on my rims and then on the car! Click here to enlarge

The look really good and aggressive!

This is the first I ever mail ordered tires.

So now all in need is some wheelwax or the poorboys version of it but everyone is sold out or the want a ridicules price for them.

So I will up do pics of my rims later when I unpack them, then I will take them to tirecraft on Queensway for them to install because they have nitrogen to put in the tires instead of oxygen.

These Vredestein tires seem to be getting pretty popular. I'm looking forward to hearing what you have to say about them as I have no experience with them.

I got these tires almost 2 years ago and I love them. They have great wet and dry traction paired with stiff sidewalls and overall they handle great. Much better than stock PS2's IMO. The only downside is that they tend to pull toward the direction of the pavement and they pulled to the right under braking.

Sorry it took so long to up date the thread, but I could not comment on the tires if I had not put some mileage on these puppies.

As of today I have just over 2500 Kms on them (~1553 miles US), and I have to say is "WOW!!"

I am very impress with the Vreds, I have PS2s Michelin's on my wifes M3 convertible and IMHO the Vreds are a lot better and of course the price point is right on the money! ($1066CAN to my door!)

So ever since I installed them the weather in Ontario, Canada has been a mess, one day it is hot and the next very cold or raining.

Not good conditions to go out and have fun, but excellent to test out what these tires can do.

About 4 days into having the new rims and tires install we had very heavy rains and of course I was in a hurry to get home (24 was on Click here to enlarge) and of course the light changed to red and I had to stop in a hurry (going 70km\hr) and the car just spotted on a dine, no ABS lights or sliding into another car, these tires just stood there ground!

And on the highways they just love to huge the curves (wet or dry)

I also know a member (Dzenno) that uses them on the track and 1/4 mile, he says that they are amazing!

As soon as I install all on my mods I will go there and see for myself what they can do and let you know.

But for now some pics of the set up on my bimmer and a 1 to 5 rating

    (1) is poor to (5) is excellent

    Road noise (4)
    Dry road grip (4)
    Wet road grip (4)
    Handling (4)
    Price (4)
My happiness (4) Click here to enlarge

    Thanks for looking!

P.S. I know I have to lower her a bit!

These tires are on my list to replace my PS2 ZPs...but not going to do it until the PS2s are ready to be swapped.

My only gripe is that with my 18's, I can't get the size I want (I'm running 225/40ZR18 & 255/35ZR18 now), which is 245/35ZR18 and 275/30ZR18. In order to get those sizes, I'd have to go up to 19's, which means I'd need to swap out wheels, too. Click here to enlarge

They should/or will have sizes for Porsche, two of the retailers that I check with for pricing, said that Porsche is going to use these as stock wheels for there cars, but I don't know how true that is.

    UPDATE**

So as you know I got my tires in the spring and installed, so I am pretty happy with them, the braking power on them in the rain was really great and and using them on the 1/4 mile was sweet too.

Until I had to goto Manhattan, NY for a death in the family, and was cruising on the I-90 east when the car told me that one of my tires is flat(FTM) I was going at lease 110kph(65mph) of course there was no gas station to pull in to for another 52 miles.

Then bang the tire blown out, and I was stuck in the car for an hour with my parents, I did bring my OEM tire with me but I forgot we do not have jacks in our cars because of the run flats.

So long story short AAA come out and switched out the tires and I was on my way again, in the mean time I was wondering how a brand new tire set up lose air so quickly and blow like that, and of course listening to my parents saying that I should have bought better tires.Click here to enlarge

So we made it to my brother's home and he set me up with a tire guy that knew his stuff!

And hooked me up with a new tire(no rim damage thank God!!)

I found out the it was a F**KING nail that cause the flat not the tire.

But this is where the story gets good.

Last night I was on the I-90 west and got hit by the lake affect snow.

Here is the link to the story

    http://online.wsj.com/article/AP3e44...865666c35.html

Now when I was buying these from SORTA he told me I could run them in the snow, and I told them "I am buying them from you, you don't have to still sell me on them"

They thought I would like to know that, and little to my knowledge that I would have a first hand use of them in the snow with buzzard conditions.

All I could say is WOW!! it got me thought that mess!!!

I am now more impressed with them now then I was before!!

But I would still not use them as winters but if you get caught with these on in a storm just take your time and these would get you though it.

I put a pick of how my tire looked like when it blow, but this is not the tire or rim I have but it is the same look of it.
