Mt. Everest has around 200 dead bodies (pics)

Definitely worth checking it, pretty creepy.

If that wasn't horrifying enough, I'm sure the price tag of $25k per run should be.

The sherpas do this $#@! for a living, they get paid to climb to everest and guide people to the top.

They can carry 300 lbs and breathe 7 psi air, you'd be dead in those conditions; they live in it. They are considered some of the toughest people on earth.

Found this excerpt somewhere, they are biologically different then us. They are built like tanks.

"When I think of a Sherpa, I think of a mountain man thatís brought along to carry heavy loads up hill. I know its more technical than that, but thatís what I think of. To do this one must have the strength and the stamina to do so. Ok, so it helps that as a people, sherpas have adapted to the region. Some of these adaptations include unique hemoglobin-binding enzymes, doubled nitric oxide production, hearts that can utilize glucose, and lungs with an increased sensitivity to low oxygen."

Heres a picture of a nepalese sherpa,

Heard about them being able to breath better in those higher altitudes. Look at this BAMF, it's insane.

They are badass mother $#@!ers indeed.

WTF, this girl can climb Everest but we can't?

A 22-year-old has realised her “crazy” dream after becoming the youngest British woman to reach the summit of Mount Everest, it was announced today.

Bonita Norris, from Wokingham, Berkshire, made it to the top of the world's highest mountain this morning, said a spokeswoman for MPTU, her main sponsor.

During her climb, Ms Norris fought extreme altitude, frostbite, hypothermia and snow-blindness, and required bottled oxygen.
Then again, we don't have the last name Norris.

Eurocopter is a maker of world case rescue and extreme operations helicopters, for the first time; a helicopter has made it to the top of the Mt. Everest. This took place in 2005.

And if any of you wondering why this is so difficult for a helicopter, remember that as air pressure decreases so does density. And just like a turbo, the rotor needs to spin faster to maintain its lift (in our case we call his boost). So there are physical limits to designing the rotor that needed to be overcome before a chopper can hit 30,000 feet.
