Nope, only 330 watt power supply. Although much bigger than the M17X power supply...

Have you been gaming on it? I went through all the options and clicked the Alienware recommended stuff. Is it worth it to go all out, fully loaded? Maybe I can find a used one at a good price. I haven't received the check yet but I want to be decided on my next comp ahead of time.

I did not go fully loaded because they rape you. I thought $4k was enough for a computer.

I ordered base ram and upgraded to 16 gigs myself. I'll probably go to 32 gigs soon and upgrade the video cards and processor when I get a chance.

Don't even game much on it.

Yea, exactly. I had it at 4 grand and I didn't opt for all the best. That's double what I had planned on spending.
Anyway, I don't want to question you a whole lot but could you convince me that this comp is worth it? Besides the name and it looking so damn cool

I mostly bought it for the name. However, I have an 18 inch screen and dual videocards so it wasn't all about spending money on a brand. Kind of like a BMW. The hardware was surprisingly impressive.

Yea, I was considering the AW but it's too much. I don't want to overspend.

I've had 3 and from what sticky tells me, the build quality is much better now than it was back then.

Still, I'm sticking with my tablet and I have a quad-core desktop for gaming. Does the job and doesn't break my wallet Click here to enlarge

That's what makes them nice to have to begin with, others can't.

Seriously though, going to be a while before the M18X is outgunned.

I think I remember you saying you don't move it much, but have you gauged it for battery life by chance?

You can switch off the dual video cards and it will last 5 hours.

With full everything it is only an hour or so which is enough for me.

I move around with it, right now I'm watching football while sitting on it upstairs.
