An awakening is taking place on MBworld - Members becoming aware of censorship there as well as BenzBoost
It's too late to stop: http://www.mbworld.org/forums/c63-am...ver-forum.html
Great post and people are slowly but surely realizing what took place. The competition is working...

I'm also a bit surprised at how many members just shrug off what he is saying completely aloof and oblivious to what has taken place, ignorance is bliss.

By the way, who is Nola and where does he got off saying this:

Am I the only person who thinks this is just plain idiotic?

You might as well just shut the forum down and have everyone communicate through the postal service with your logic.
Time to hang it up Nola, you don't get it. It's members first, then vendors. Your duty as a moderator is to be a community activist, not a corporate puppet.

At least they didn't close the thread. And MB Forever tried to keep it going and on-track to get the point across. I think some of the guys have had a look around and some have showed up here as well. Now it is just a matter of time and people will be able to open their minds a bit and realize that they are able to be free to check out and post at more than one spot for more than one reason. Then I think you will start to see a little more push from the membership to set things right and not be confined or coerced by the administration and moderators at MBW. Black-clk500 (P31-C63) had a nice bit to say as well and I think a few MBW members will like what he has to say.
Don't forget the members here can be pretty feisty as well and maybe a little intimidating for some.
Good question who Nola is as I have never run across or maybe registered him in my mind before. Either he is slightly more moderate or instructed to be more open???? Still he did try to get the usual senseless digs in. I think the mentions he makes might in fact make some of the MBW members check out BenzBoost if for nothing more than piqued curiosity.
Really I try to steer a little clear of the controversy, politics and mud slinging. Just never developed stomach or mind for it. Makes me a little on the woosy side I guess. Sorry for that I suppose and not putting up more of a fight.
It is true the moderators at MBW have often left me with a feeling of resentment in their method and superiority. They are often rude and demoralizing to the member in particular that they are centering out and thus to the membership in general.
MB BOB recently publicly said he sent a member an infraction for using the word dickhead in describing the action of another members post. At least another member questioned the fact that MB BOB had done that by asking "really?". I thought that was a step in the right direction. Not sure if anything was mentioned about it past that.
Sticky you have loosened the glue!

I was trying to get a very important point across: an open discussion is always good for the members. This was shown here and on many forums over and over again. If a moderator locks a thread because he/she thinks a certain piece of information is true/false, then some members will get hurt.
Nola is actually not an aggressive moderator - at least not as aggressive as other moderators I've seen on mbworld. Interesting topic though....2007 E63 P30

It's almost comical to read what the idiotic mods on MBW offer as reasons for why things are run the way they are...But it's equally depressing that the majority of the membership over there don't care to question it, nor do they realize that they are just pawns and the site owners and mods don't give a sh!t about them and are ONLY concerned about the bottom line - making money at whatever cost. It's just a slap in the face when those mods quote the TOS like it's the bible and no one questions it. Remember, some douchbag Ahole wrote those TOS and now the mods simply hide behind them under the guise of running a PG-13 site - LOL. Good for them, bunch of whiny ass pussies who can't put up with a little ribbing now and again and who shudder whenever anyone calls a spade a spade. MB-BOB is the worst of them and needs a proper ass kicking. But the funniest part about all this...is that their site policies and rules will be their undoing. Putting vendors before the individual members who made the site what it is will end up biting them in the ass bigtime. Look at what happened with the Evosport debacle. And Nola says it's not the sites responsibility to portect it's membership - WRONG - that's EXACTLY what the site should be doing. Mark my words....it may not happen tomorrow, next week or anytime soon; but some other similar scenario is going to happen and the membership will bear the brunt of MBW's revenue based TOS. I think that will be the tipping point and finally drive that place into the ground where it belongs.
And they will have no one to blame but themselves, their greed and their hunger for marketplace domination.

We are proving you don't have to roll over and bark when they demand it and you CAN change things.
