****Changed Tune - Results also changed!!!!!****

As many of you know I've grown frustrated over the past few months regarding
my vehicle and it's performance or lack thereof. Most people would be satisfied
with the times I was running but considering the extent of my modifications I felt
that my vehicle should be faster.

I did not start this thread to bad mouth anyone's tune or product. I've always been
they type of person that shared information and data about my vehicle to help others
make an educated decision. We're here to learn from each other and hopefully I can
    provide some more valuable information.

Prior to my tune change my car was consistently in the 11.5 to 11.6 range with a MPH
roughly from 120 to 123 depending on the conditions. These are very good times to
    say the least.

Prior to yesterday's May 12th Atco track rental my personal best time was:

    11.504 @ 122.10 on 12/04/10 @ Atco Raceway(DA: -1300) previous best

I added a CF Hood, 18" Forgestar's and changed my DR's to Nitto during the winter and
returned back to Atco on April 21st of this year. These were the following results:

    11.583 @ 122.06 (DA: -249)
    11.509 @ 121.88 (DA: -871)
    11.539 @ 122.05 (DA: -991)
    11.525 @ 121.20 (DA: -1138)

In addition to my winter modifications above I added a CF trunk and switched tunes to
MHP. I made about 25 to 30 passes yesterday at Atco in positive DA. After a few runs on
Shell 93 I added a few gallons of MS109. Instead of posting all my runs I will post a
    handful of times to compare.

    (Shell 93)
    11.573 @ 122.33 (DA: 362)
    11.542 @ 121.81 (DA: 362)
    11.576 @ 121.47 (DA: 362)
    11.633 @ 121.11 (DA: 490)
    11.682 @ 120.64 (DA: 490)
    11.587 @ 121.62 (DA: 490)

    (Added MS109)
    11.584 @ 122.14 (DA: 727)
    11.524 @ 122.34 (DA: 727)
    11.601 @ 122.36 (DA: 727)
    11.494 @ 122.96 (DA: 727)
    11.500 @ 123.10 (DA: 727)
    11.561 @ 123.10 (DA: 727)
    11.661 @ 122.53 (DA: 806)
    11.656 @ 122.40 (DA: 806)
    11.476 @ 122.95 (DA: 1013)
    11.484 @ 123.10 (DA: 1013)
11.415 @ 123.24 (DA: 1170) Personal Best - Last run of the day.

Clearly, with my set-up the MHP tune is superior. All of yesterdays runs were in positive DA
and I still managed a personal best. The car was actually running stronger the worse the DA.
I should have listened to Mike(dodger63) when he told me to put in the Braille battery, I may
have run an 11.3. Mike installed it after my best run but sadly they already closed the lanes.

Frustration was setting in and I just went with the tune with proven track results. Again,
I'm not knocking anyone here, just providing feedback for others. I'm just looking to maximize
my set-up and I feel I took a step in the right direction.

Thanks to Andy(MHP) for the awesome tune.

Note: All DA numbers are as per Dragtimes.com
Note: I've used MS109 on my previous tune with no gains to record.

I like all your data including the DA and Gas, very nice touch and quite helpful.

You did see a personal best but the difference doesn't seem that big at least to me considering your other changes. Although, yes, these runs were in positive DA. I can't wait to see what you do with your new setup in negative DA.

Does it really feel that different?

seems what you need is a set of MHP headers to go along with that tune! Then you should be tearing it up!

The new tune is far superior. There was over a 2000 difference in DA between my last and new personal best.

These runs were made on April 21st at Atco
I added a CF Hood, 18" Forgestar's and changed my DR's to Nitto during the winter and
returned back to Atco on April 21st of this year. These were the following results:

    11.583 @ 122.06 (DA: -249)
    11.509 @ 121.88 (DA: -871)
    11.539 @ 122.05 (DA: -991)
    11.525 @ 121.20 (DA: -1138)
The only thing I added for May 12th was a CF trunk(14lbs) and the tune.

So I just read this same thread on another forum&all I have to say is: haters gonna hate
Are people really that ignorant or have they never actually gone drag racing on a regular basis? WTF....you have documented results&the people in-the-know clearly agree with your improvemenst&did not see any need to nitpick you to death...this is why I keep my setup&my mods to myself as I have no patience in explaining or defending the times I run. You are clearly miles ahead of me in that aspect;I woulda just told everyone $#@! off lol

    Rob,

I understand why people are skeptical. Not everyone races and understands DA and the affect it has on a vehicle.
They just see ET's and trap speeds and say "That is not that big of a difference".

I'm hoping for some big numbers this fall.

The problem isn't sharing the results and the answer isn't keeping details to yourself. It is about who you surround yourself with.

Congrats to PetroC63 on his new tune and new personal best! We know how he feels about it and that is the important part. I didn't even bother to post on the other site and that is really my bad. Some people there always do their best to ruin a good thing for someone else. I agree with oldgixxer it sure is tempting to just tell them just where to get off. Petro was really cool about it all and the better Man for it.

Propane was cool as well but you could tell he wanted to bust some chops. Good job guys!

It is you guys that are trying hard to move the C63 ahead that deserve the credit along with Dads, Dodger and Mthis. Also RPMNorth and MHP from the sponsor side.

Congrats to PetroC63 again and I hope you are still out there trying to go fast in the fall!

I appreciate the kind words.Click here to enlarge The last thing I want is for that thread to get locked.
I'm glad it hasn't gotten out of hand. We all know how they feel about MHP on MBW.

Some of those guys are amazing over there. I have no control over the weather,
it was 75F and I picked up a about a .1 and 1mph. My previous best was in 38F
December weather at Atco, backed up by 48F weather on April 21st when I added
my hood and wheels. I think we are all smart enough to make an educated
guess about what the gains will/could really be in similar weather.

Oh well, I'm confident this fall will paint the real picture.

Thats why I'm not even bothering posting what I'm doing to my car on other forums. There are very few people willing to open their minds to other peoples decisions and experiences.

In this case, I see the difference, 2,000 feet of DA is a TON in terms of torque, which will bring times down from 60' out.
