EXACTLY. I mean, I travel to Sac for the track so the main goal is a FAST track. The problem will be location and funding. No reason we can't get the ball rolling.
I recall back in the day there used to be a dragstrip in Carslbad or called Carlsbad Raceway? I could swear one of the popular bike magazines back in the 80's used to do all their 1/4mi testing there....I could be wrong.

Yes, there was a track out there. Problem is, man was it junk. Dirt road leading to to the strip, etc.

I used to live in Encinitas and had an office next to the airport on Palomar Airport Rd...I ran there a few times back in 2000 when it was still open. IIRC it close in like '03. And yeah, the place was a total sh!thole run by a bunch of north county tweaker meth-heads.
A good area for a track would be the fountain valley, lake forest areas....I'm lookin at land out in Temecula for a similar venture Click here to enlarge

Hey hey Click here to enlarge

I think maybe we could somehow work together. Although it seems we have a couple different goals. Depending on the amount of land, we may be able to combine.

Well, I really don't know your budget but I know what you had planned was massive. I'm thinking on a much smaller and more specific scale but the ideas are compatible I think.

Heh, if this actually happens (dream scenario at this point) MBW would lose a ton of relevance.

Correct - I left the BS at home. Had meetings later that day that required a lot of driving so I just took the Rangie. And honestly, I really only like to run road courses. I made one pass in the Rangie, paid Jim and watched him make a few passes then bailed at noon.

    Ooops..... sorry I missed that.

So has there been any date set to give Jim's car another shot?

I'm sure that slowed it down a little.
