Right now I'm down to 2 posiibilities; (1) the headers(2" primaries may be overkill) are hampering my low end torque and (2) the tune.
The tune is not fully optimized for my set-up. A custom tune would be ideal but that's not happening anytime soon. So, my
next step is to solicit a tuner who has proven track experience with this particular vehicle.

Also, I'm leaning towards a different tune because it is much easier to send out the ECU than removing and installing new headers.

I was going to suggest a custom tune specifically for your setup so you are happy, why is this not an option?

It is an option, and I've been pushing for one since December but apparantly there aren't any custom dyno tune events
coming to my area in the near future. So, I'm looking elsewhere.

The header(MBH) mfg. has a custom file for their headers which is probably my best bet at this point but I'm trying to
stay away from tunes without proven track results.

Smart, I have never heard of the MBH tune or see any impressive results.

All I have seen are some dyno numbers but anyone can manipulate
a dyno to make it read what they wan't. Give me real world results

Interesting that you ask. Here's some additional, albeit dated, info:

If you google "Oliver Neumann Evotech," you can read up about Evotech.

We do not use EVOtech on any Mercedes cars. Dyno-Comp uses EVOtech on BMW's. Ken who happens to work out of Dyno-Comp as an EVOtech rep only tunes BMW's. No Mercedes we do has EVOtech software on them. Dyno-Comp writes its own software for Mercedes
