    the first car thread

Dunno if it's been done here yet,but it's always interesting to see everybodys very first car....and then sit back&ponder how far we have come with what we are driving now..

My very first car was a crappy faded blue 1975 Mercury Comet, straight 6,rusted out floorpans&a trans that went into reverse only when it deemed it felt like it...I was 17yrs old lol

The car below was not mine, this one is obviously in much better condition lol

Mid-80s Fiat Uno .. the pic below is not mine, but a close match:

Cost me 500 GBP .. and I was 17 years old (the age you can first drive in UK). Despite it's tiny 1100cc engine, with about 55hp, it was quite a zippy little car around town.

I spent many a weekend attempting to fix the giant rust holes along the bottom of the doors, with little success!

A Silver 1997 740il. This isn't my actual car but it had close to no damage besides a few dings here and there. Not only was this the first car I ever purchased with my own money, I bargained my way down on this vehicle to suit my budget. I ended up paying $500.00 cash for the pink. I bought it off a neighbor, and I was 17 y.o. My parents didn't believe me when I brought her home.
I still have this car and it runs great with 180k miles. However gas prices have made it ridiculous to drive lately.
