    Eurocharged 55 Series Ported Heads!

    Hey Guys,

Just thought I would give you an update.

Our guy has spent 6 months playing around with these AMG heads and feels he has broken the code now! We had given him a damaged head to play around with, flow test and put his 30 plus years of knowledge into.. I think his words were, that you had to go 3 steps back to go one forward..Click here to enlarge We found why others have failed (like VRP) in trying to get huge power gains from these heads..

Good flow gains were attained and most of at LOW lift and high lift vale events! Spring pressure was also increased 10% to help handle higher RPM. Stock cam lift is only .420 lift range but still going to see 330 CFM in that range and that is more than most of the modern American CNC muscle heads can attain!

More details and dyno results will be released in the next few weeks!

These are going to change the game!

My Guess , on the VRP heads. the exhaust ports & intakes were ported for BIG flow numbers. The exhaust ports on these heads have restricted flow. A lot of porters go for huge flow improvements and bring the exhaust port exit out to the Gasket size. This messes up the exhaust flow to intake flow ratio. Yeah I know But, Big flow numbers is not were it is at! Turns the motor into a pig at low & Midrange rpms. Anybody that has rode in my car or watch my YOUTUBE , knows I have lots of Torque. even with ported heads & Even With Stock Valve sizes. I My opinion your on the right track. Cheers _PTEngineering

The typical areas that you would start porting, actually decrease the flow! We had a car at a dyno day recently that had the same mods as well as VRP heads, that put down 20whp and 40wtq less than its equal.

When we had our guy do it (he has 30 years of experience), he bench flowed every little step, and it took over 6 months. We honestly destroyed a junk set of heads we had, but learned a lot in the process!

I think you should find it fairly intuitive. Not as many forum sections all over the place like MBW with the content more concentrated in a logical layout.

    Update

The heads are on and the car is running im not a butt dyno guy so ill leave that stuff out. The car is on the dyno now and someone from eurocharged or I will post dyno results as they become availible. We decided to dyno the car before the trunk tank to get a better idea of how much power these heads make.

    Stay tuned!!!
