I have a 720whp s54, not a 800whp n54. Plus- I wouldn't take my stock block 800whp n54 racing because it would blow up and then I'd be sad.

Not nearly as complex yet not nearly as reliable :)
10-07-2015, 02:44 PM
Fair enough- do you really expect your stock block to last at this power level?

you and I both know there is more to the SMG II than just the gearbox :handgestures-thumb:

I'd love to know what brave souls really want to turbo their smg s54's, that's just asking for trouble... Considering how flakey those units are at stock power levels, i can't imagine what happens...

i have yet to see actual 'racing' from any of these high horsepower stock block n54/n55's.... all seem like dyno queens to me, just saying....

Well this thread went to $#@!, fast.

E85. IDC was > 90% if I recall, tune is conservative though....

That's a fair response and that's kind of what I was getting at. Talking about efficiency isn't exactly apples to apples when compression and displacement vary imo.

Do you have a similar s65 dyno to compare to? I've never seen a turbo s65 w/ a 6466 at 19 psi
07-14-2015, 09:19 PM
efficient in what sense? are you taking the difference in displacement into consideration?
07-14-2015, 12:37 AM
Yes sir- the car weighs in at ~3000lbs and is an absolute monster on the street.

No It's not officially release but I do know there have been a small handful of e46's that have gotten the FSR turbo treatment.

I have this kit- it's top notch. My car put down 720whp w/ a 6466 on 19psi stock bottom end s54. Ian, Alex and the rest of the crew at FSR are awesome and I would recommend their services to anyone...

the e46 looks soft, e90 looks quick though.

How much for the Quaife 69g + install on an e46 m3 out the door? serious question, feel free to PM me if need be.
You must be new. Mert does this for a living yet the information he shares is quite limited- however he does love to talk. I'd say 100:1 ration of talking to showing.
This is amazing- really hope you complete this life long project..... Only 245's in the front? If you want to break records I'm pretty sure you're gonna need more meat than that.
Wish you would...

M50/52 + S50/52: Might be worth another front page post? Really?...
Might be worth another front page post? Really? Congrats to Mike, Nick, and the Maximum PSI crew for this accomplishment- pretty amazing if you ask me....

because s54 > s65 :boxing
09-29-2014, 11:50 PM
ps- sticky is mad lol.
09-29-2014, 11:49 PM
All hail the s54. I have always had faith in this platform- it's just a matter of guys like this pushing the envelope....

My e46 m3 runs an AEM Infinity- it has been flawless thus far. The tuning was top notch- and needless to say, it feels smoother than stock even though the car puts down > 700whp on e85.

I love how prices aren't listed for this 'on sale' thread :(
12-06-2013, 05:48 PM
That's because Mike is too busy breaking records in his E36. Wait until he actually touches his s54 internals :)
