I can understand how that would be confusing, the build plan has changed a lot since post #46.
The other thing is that this head has been decked twice, so CR will be marginally higher. Maybe...

See post #46.
I have spent substantial amounts of time writing about what I'm doing....

You probably already know this, but the OEM exhaust manifolds aren't the same shape as the exhaust ports.

Good info, thanks for sharing that.
But....there is a marked difference between the M5X/S52 exhaust port, and the M54 exhaust port. The M54 port is smaller, and shaped slightly different. When you...

Just curious if you had the exhaust scanned as well.
I would think that if someone is looking to fabricate their own M54 intake, that they would be doing the exhaust as well.
I would be...

For me, the only comparison that counts is the one I make between what my expectations are, and what the actual result is. Comparing cars, where the expectations of of the owners is vastly...

HPF offered this a while ago, and sold ZERO kits.

Yes, I like nitrous.
I'm trying really hard to have the engine started within 2 weeks. After that, it's just a few things to get it officially on the road.

Nah...I've set limits on what I can touch. The next car will be much more radical...
The one pictured above is the engine oil cooler.
The Trans cooler will be mounted under the bumper.

Still re-doing stuff that didn't work.
The -10 AN turbo drain line ended up getting sandwiched between the oil pan and the steering rack. More specifically, the fitting right off the scavenge...

One not so fun thing: I've sent my camera and main lens to Nikon for service. I realize that 6 years isn't that long for a Pro DSLR to be in use, but I've absolutely hammered mine carrying it around...

I appreciate what you've done, but I haven't been using it. This is partly due to the really flakey nature of the internet connections I use, and my lack of serious content creation...
Sorry to step in here, but I'm the only one that I know of to take a high-end road race suspension (Moton) to the drag strip, and adapt it for use there.
You can set it up for...
I missed that, sorry.
Just the same, incredible numbers for a 2.5L.
So will you spend another day on the dyno sorting out those issues, or is the engine already out of the room?

This is just a presumption, but from my experience with other control units, there is usually a maximum allowable error for certain parameters.
I wonder if the total clutch package thickness might...
What tires were you using on the dyno?

I think this is ridiculous, all of it.
There will never be a truthful side to this debacle, because so many chefs have been in the kitchen.
My experience with technical issues in general is...

M54: I think it's random.
I think it's random.
I've found some M54 cylinder heads have 4 studs per exhaust port, and some have 3 in an odd pattern across the head. The part numbers are also different.
Would I drill out a head...
