This thread is written to spawn a technical discussion, not cost effective or solutions with the most options. Having said that, given that the JB4 now supports logging of timing corrections/knock...

Given recent developments in flash based tuning we wanted to offer our insight into the inner workings of the N54 DME when it comes to boost control tuning or more specifically, PID based boost...

What you've done here is virtually slapped together a manual boost controller that'll...
Looking great! Let me know when you're ready to get started. RB maps aren't ideal for VTT turbos and vice versa and we'll need to adjust it for your new turbos.

We just try to do our best on every car we touch and we really try to ONLY and exclusively tune cars/motors that we daily/own. If you start picking up anything and everything out there especially...

Badass. Without direct fuel and timing control for this sort of thing you really don't want to be pushing things with pump gas at all. Tuning outside of boost control is so limited right now...

Very interesting details. Let us know how that goes and if you manage to actually spoof vbox data that way. It doesn't sound hard at all but I'll make sure to share this with the vboxtools.com...

Here is some great input from Racelogic as well as the guy who implemented vboxtools.com on spoofing vbox files, specifically DBN format. This explains why file manipulation is not the case here.
