I can happily say that having been part of the Internet community since it's more humbler beginnings, the 'drama' we see nowadays is nothing compared to what used to happen on Usenet in it's heyday;...
6'1" .. weight no clue these days, but not skinny or fat .. average for height I guess.
As for the sound of the 997, the Turbo sounds even less aggressive than my old 335i. It's his biggest issue...
My business partner has a 997.1 turbo - I've driven it, it's fast as $#@!, but there are a few key things that would turn me away:
1) I'm too big for it. The cockpit is cramped.
2) It's too...
Always makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end. This was released early into my journey of alcoholism and clubbing .. a defining song for...

Very surprised at Gintani for not posting it here first. The other forum is full of Gintani haters and trolls, and Sticky, you've been steadfast with Gintani.
Still, you always find out who your...

The lead programmer developed & worked for a couple of big name tuning companies who currently sell OTS BMW tunes (I'll keep them nameless for now). I had a ride in one of their tuned/exhaust cars...

I'm going to go with the custom tune - those guys seem know their $#@! and are individually experienced working for other tuning companies. Regarding the 12k maybe I just misunderstood ... that...

I have an opportunity to get my car custom tuned with a local company - they have been around for a few years and claim to provide a solid tune for the M3. They have lots of satisfied 335i, M5, etc...
My wife works full time as a manager, and I have a small business. I bring home a bit more and we both pool our money into the same account.
It's worked well enough for 10+ years. It's funny...
I purchased some marine degreaser (seems to be much stronger than the OTC automotive stuff). I tested it on a plasti-dipped piece of wood overnight and it didn't harm it.
Worked quite well on a...

Really appreciate the offer to sell Sticky, but I think shipping cost will kill it. Living in Canada sucks sometimes.
I might just cut up my own x-pipe .. ! If I need to revert to stock, I'll...

Thanks appreciated -- do you happen to have any pics .. ? Do you think it would sound OK with my Gintani Sport rear section?
Yikes -- the one below looks similar but they want $1650! .....
05-28-2013, 10:24 PM
Sure -- I'd love to ... let me know how much you want for it..

Any recommendations? The only cheap ones I can find are Sosi .. and they require cutting anyway. Bear in mind I'm in Canada and lots of people refuse to ship up here.
Yeah DIY kit will be much better. I'm not a fan of the rattle can texture; I did it with initial light coats as instructed but that's how it came out. Flat panels/objects seem to plasti-dip much...
Here's a close-up. Wheels are quite dirty, but I just cleaned this spoke with some marine-grade degreaser. Seems to work quite well; I tested it overnight on a piece of plasti-dipped wood and it...

Yes. Trying to find a cheap stock xpipe locally so I don't have to butcher mine.
Thanks! Glad I went with the single wall in the end.
I had a few roll races with a Cobb Stage2 STI when I had my 335i -- at the time I just had JB4+DCI (before meth). I pulled so hard on the poor thing I couldn't stop grinning. I was surprised how...

Just Gintani rear ... sounds great!
Might get some test pipes to remove primary cats.

I don't get much attention in my M3 - only from guys asking how much it costs and how much power it has.
My wife's Mini Countryman S gets much more attention from both guys and girls, that car...
I'll try to get some close-ups tomorrow.
I was very happy with the finish, a little bit of texture, but looks cool & consistent. Only problem is keeping them clean! I think anything goes apart...
That stuff looks difficult to get hold of, especially in Canada -- DipYourCar only ships to USA.
I guess I'll try out a few more aggressive cleaners available here and see what happens, worst...
Before I rip this stuff off, anybody have any ideas on how to *easily* clean plasti dip wheels?
I like to keep my car clean, but it rains a lot here, meaning cleaning my car 2-4 times per week. ...
I think I'm now banned from there too .. it was growing old and boring anyway. Every thread is jumped on by keyboard warriors & trolls, not real enthusiasts.
