Go to harbor freight and grab an analog vacuum gauge; i assume you have lots of hose and NPT fittings. A gauge will run you about $10.

Cant open your logs at work, but with that severe timing corrections I'd do a compression test and/or leakdown.

I'm not so sure about that. I'm fairly certain that the false misfires are caused by increased horsepower screwing with the design harmonics of the original flywheel. With some analysis, I have no...

I get what you're saying now, but it seems like the issue is exacerbated by poor clutch technique. I rarely if ever let off gas in 1st or 2nd from a high enoguh load to let the "according effect"...

Agreed. The problem is finding a suitable pairing FW. I wish someone would make an upgraded DMFW, as I'm all for power but want to minimize transmission chatter.

Tony, do you have an apples to apples comparison of WGDC for the two dynos you posted? The 585whp vs 557whp dynos? Sorry if I missed it.

I've never had a manual that doesnt engine brake hard in 1st. It's a function of gearing.

Thanks for your input, but after 100s of pulls last summer with probably 50 map revisions, I'm 99% sure its tight WGs. Front WG closes at 5.7 in.hg and rear 5.95 in.hg. I'm not great with PIDs though.

13k mi = 20.8k km, yet my dash oil meter resets to 28k km between oil changes. Ridiculous. I change every 6k and once dragged it out to 8k, and it started like $#@! every time. Cant even imagine 25k.

I continually have global timing drops on flash only with no corrections, apparently due to boost over target, or high boost slew. Never did figure it out.

Dont know about the e36, but the 335 is fly by wire and there will be an inherent lag. Also, 380hp with a procede on stg 0 is a farce, and shiv is a liar. You'll be closer to 300-320 WHP with stg 0....

What do you mean by bleeding the lifters? Any chance you chaffed some of the wires to the solenoids? I think they route to the electrical box under the manifold.

They were running 4 x 1.0mm Aquamist nozzles, some guys running a combo of 1.0mm and 1.1 or 1.2mm. Full tilt, that could be upwards of 1800 cc/min.

Good call. I recall some dude on e90post that had a bad level sensor but kept topping up the motor. In the end he drained like 11L of oil from his engine or something absurd like that.
