Here's a flow chart I made just to clear things up

A DCT is an automatic trans ;)

True but I'll still take my manual over an AT any day. From the right roll and with a good driver a 6MT car is still a very fast car, having an AT just makes the driver a non-factor.

Sounds like a great crowd to be competing with.

It's always a good idea to go built engine if your goal is to make really big power. I think up to 700whp a stock N54 will live happily for a long time but past that you may be getting into sketchy...

Traditional RBs aren't getting anywhere near 630whp regardless of what kind of intake piping you're running. I've seen datalogs of this tune and I call BS on the numbers. "Tuned" with Procede ~20psi...

Yup, Jake is just with MOTIV.
What does having cats have to do with the fuel scalar not being necessary?

"Unethical dbag" is the last phrase anyone would ever use when describing Jake. I have met a lot of stand up people(and a lot i would describe as otherwise) and Jake is the best dude anyone could...

Unfortunately, when the PI kit is installed you really can't see it so I didn't take any more pics.

The MOTIV 750 dyno is with the MOTIV PI setup, HTA3586 turbo kit, AEM, and MOTIV/Fuel-it! Lpfp setup with factory FPR.
The MOTIV 900 dyno is the same except it has a HTA3794 turbo and aftermarket...

Unfortunately I'm stuck at work right now so I can't go into detail. To be short and sweet: over 600whp needs PI. The only difference between the 750 and 900 testing is replacing the FPR with an...

It's just not listed on that particular graph. Testing the kit at that power level is when we figured out the factory fuel pressure regulator had to go.On 93 with a healthy HPFP and beefy low...

The MOTIV750 pull was WITH the PI system.

Similar to how it can be handled through the JB4. AEM handles PI injections, secondary LPFP activation, boost etc... without CANBUS interference. Cobb handles target AFRs, VANOS, throttle mapping,...

There's a 600, 750 and 900 kit. This was the 900 kit, the 750 kit put down 705rwhp a couple weeks ago and the 600 kit is good for mid-500whp on E50.
I think what is even more important than just...
The minimal gains that may be found with an N55 head will be overshadowed by the costs involved(if it can even be made to work at all.)

The coils weren't too old but it's impossible to say because we didn't have new coils to try swapping in. Honestly, when we pulled the plugs out to gap them they still looked REALLY good after 15-20...
10-12-2014, 09:27 PM
This was a VERY educational weekend. The engine held 830whp but we did find the "limit" of the stock ignition system. Over 30psi with the 3794 blowing the spark out became an issue and required...

Just wait until the next graph ;)

Doing 100% kill mode dynos is good for forum buzz but when someone buys a kit that put down xxxwhp then they expect to put that down when they strap their car down on a dyno. Keep in mind that a lot...

It will work just fine with the stock turbos.
10-09-2014, 09:55 AM
The 600 kit will do mid-5xxwhp, the 750 kit will do mid-7xxwhp and the 900 kit will do over of 800whp.
Two different turbo choices with the 900 kit because people will probably want some variety...
