Developing these kits was a bit more involved than just "getting the right codes".
Everybody takes their own approach with the hardware. The software makes it all possible. It's the most important step. I can find you a few dozen US companies that can put a supercharger on a V8. I can't find you a dozen that could tune it. "
" I hope they make a kit that people can order and have by their house within 2-3 weeks, waiting almost a year like VTT stage 3 is totally ridiculous. As a vendor, make like 10 kits ready for sale, don't wait for people to send in cash so you can spend it on development etc.... "
" Hm, so possibly not worth the effort putting the disc/rod things in?
and wouldn't be possible to make a plate that takes the water ports into account? bugger.. hopefully it can take enough power as it is to satisfy everyone lol.. even so, even if you could mostly close it, would it just make the already hot-running motor run TOO hot?
best not to worry about if if nothing can be done i guess? - though if there was something, i'm sure plenty of people would buy it just in case lol "
" Didn't take long to prove the bs negative spin wrong. It will take a little longer on the N55 but the end result will be the same. Again thanks to @gogunbaba for all his time spent getting results! It is much appreciated "
" This is why you never base anything off n=1, especially when things look wrong. What you wanna bet he'll break 500whp now? Nothing amazing, just working as intended. Happy to see your issues getting fixed @gogunbaba we appreciate your dedication, I'm glad these turbo's are beginning to look like a highly viable option for our cars! "
Thanks man. That does look better. When the roads are dry, turn off DTC and do a 3rd gear pull. Start around 1750 and just hold it to the floor, you may lose traction, but we would get an idea of spool before you do. That will tell us exactly what we are seeing, as most logs on the street are done in 3rd. But yes 20 psi before 3300 is very nice.
Terry asked me to provide him logs on 3rd gear 2k to redline to start tuning again. On my way to Costco, I decided to do some low rpm runs on 4th and 5th gear. Since the roads are still damp, I kept the DTC on at all times. In my first 4th gear low rpm log attempt, I quickly realized that the car started having traction issue going uphill
Then, I did some 5 th gear pulls at low rpm. Here are the logs. I have no idea how to read them but my butt dyno says the car is very responsive at lower rpms now.
