I was running e45 previously over the summer. Been on 93 all winter and spring. Running catless and no codes with no tune on the car for several weeks.
I started popping fueling codes after a summer of running e45
Well that's less exciting. Probably cats were starting to fail, and rather than deal with replacing them under warranty (emissions components have longer warranties, 8 years/80k miles) they just "updated" the software. Although it's kinda odd they'd do major changes to the code... "
Not a baller at all. But this guy comes to the car meets likes he s John Force and
asks everyone if they want to run his "factory freak". And then when he loses the excuses come a flowing. He beat a 5.0 mustang with a 6.2 AMG v8, truly impressive.
Like John Force? LMAO! There are cars that have 1000whp there. I just pick wisely. Do you have any clue what a FBO 5.0 coyote runs? Try low 11s@ 120-122mph. "
I did a few 3-4 shifts with the lvl10 at 20psi and they seemed OK. My private track isn't long enough for 4-5 shifts. So we'll just have to see how it does Saturday at ShiftSector. Car is loaded up and ready to roll.
Terry - I see a bottle of Boost Juice in there. Are you just going run with that 49/51 mix for the event? I usually run Boost Juice daily driving because it's just so easy, but usually run as close 100% as I can when going all out. Do you see that much difference in your logs making it worth running 100%? "
" @BuraQ Have you considered more aggressive tires than NT555s? I have found almost all Nittos don't grip that well compared to some alternatives, especially their drag tires aren't the best, but still decent. I would like to see some ETs with proper tires! "
More manufactures are going to a cam driven pump???? Huh? EVERY manufacture that wants to do Direct Injection uses a cam driven pump, except some of the diesel stuff and course the N54/5. Why? Well because they work better, they are more reliable, they are a LOT cheaper to produce, they flow more fuel, the list goes on and on. We are dealing with the N54 here, and BMW's choice of going with some crazy chain driven HPFP to fuel the car. They have since gone with a cam driven pump even on the newer N55's, for all the reasons named above I am sure. But the amount of fuel required to run straight E85 at the power levels we want, will NOT be supplied by a single pump cam driven or not. That is a fact. If you do not believe me, take a look at the new M5's TWO cam driven High pressure pumps one for each bank.
I think your post could have been summed up a little easier:
" Great stuff! I was thinking KW or BC Racing before this thread...now I'll still be looking at KW, but Ohlins and Bilstein as well. I will say I have some Bilstein adjustable shocks on my truck and they made such a huge improvement! "
