" One of his latest videos of BerlinTomek he takes the sedan up to 270 km/h (168 mph) in under 25 seconds. Furthermore, he didnít use launch control and skidded all over the place when starting off.
A couple of interesting details do pop-up though. At around 200 km/h (124 mph) the DSC system kicks in or, at least thatís what the dashboard light seems to be suggesting. According to the poster, the road was dry and he wasnít cornering or anything therefore, if the DSC did kick in, it mustíve been due to the gear change. Thatís really impressive.
Furthermore, there's another confusing detail hidden in there. The car appears to be limited at 270 km/h (168 mph). However, BMW claims that the M5 can go up to only 250 km/h (155 mph) or 305 km/h (190 mph) with the MDM option. Some questions need answering here.
Looking at this video, one canít help but wonder why is everyone getting so caught up in the numbers game. OK, so the new Bimmers are heavier than they used to but when theyíre capable of such things, does it really matter that much?
" I have to say that m3 is still pretty quick. In one of the video's where it races that silver Porsche, that Porsche demolished the e63 that runs 130+mph, even though the Porsche pulls out you see the m3 come back hard in the top end. Has to be 140+mph car which indicates it must have over 700rwhp. "
Sorry, i usually dont waste my time with this forum as it's mostly drama, or you talking trash. I'm not about that, just accidentally noticed this thread which included my car, and wanted to clear some things up for the people that do waste their time around here.
" @V8Bait when i did the first install i didnt even drive it. when I swapped them i drove 50 kms nicely before I gave er. I cleared codes after each time so that wouldnt be the case. I must have the rears swapped, and now the fronts are swapped. so I literally have every O2 in the wrong spot. Ill quote Ak335i.. "what a mess". so when i sort out my sensors i should reset my adaptations before starting the car? "
