" Opening up the restrictive passages is not a solution for mid range where hpfp volume is limited due to the RPM of the pump rather than the size of the passages in the pump and rail. Fixing mid range is the hard part. "

Yes, I think there is this common misconception that fuel trims have something to do with fueling capacity. Not sure where it came from. But, it's not accurate. Fuel trims are just a function of the scalar value entered in the flash and whatever biasing the piggyback is doing. Nothing to do with fueling capacity. Fuel PRESSURE is the measure you need to keep an eye on. "

Also stock HPFP is sufficient for petroleum based fuels. "

i'll say this, 800whp on any car is impressive, even yours. I don't know you personally, never met you, and I really have had no ill feelings toward you until now. the reason people like marcus is because he has one of the most powerful e46 setups out there and he's humble about it. people respect him because he's earned it. the way you've conducted yourself over the last day is the reason nobody is giving you the respect. gintani built your car and they set a record. that's awesome man, i'm truthfully saying that. but why are you SO angry? I don't get it.

you think people are "hating" on your car but what you don't seem to get is that it's because of the way you've been acting. you've brought this all on yourself. and the worst part is, no matter what you, excuse me, GINTANI, does from here on out, you'll never get the respect you so desperately want because of the choices you're making right now.

you're hopefully an adult. please act like it because the rest of us are.
I think you're having trouble differentiating between posts with normal posters and the haters. I'll fire back so hard it will make your head spin. I'm actually a very nice guy but if you can't say 'congrats' respect the effort then f you. I treat everyone here with respect and help any and every user day in day out but I set a record that isn't ess then ess fanboys get their panties in a twist and can't even say congrats. Fuck em "

he also mentioned it was still dropping pressure for 500rpm in the midrange, where stock turbos make even MORE power than their stage 3

so it makes sense for the stock/stage 2's to seriously die in the ass "

I would like to add VAC Motorsports to a top vendor list and am glad to see they are a vendor here.

Even when their DDoS was getting attacked this winter (no email receipt or returns, website orders failing etc), Steve B. kept me in the loop via phone on a myriad of parts I had ordered totaling just under $5000 (Schrick cams, DLC followers, various valvetrain parts, ITBs, head gasket kit, UDPs, bearings etc). Between two different "verified" home addresses for our family in two different states, a machine shop address where my head was located, and a car located miles away every part arrived where it was supposed to and when it was supposed to - to all 3 addresses.

I was very impressed.
I agree with you on VAC. I have their UDP's on my E46 and the quality is really really good. However, I gave them a call asking for a quote on some parts install and they said they would emal me back. This was 2 months ago. A few days later, maybe a week later, I pm'd Mike here and he said the same thing. I will get back to you, and still never did. Sucks because they are pretty close to my parents house and I've always been a fan of their products and customer service. It's whatever though, their products are still well built. I would like my quote to be responded to though at some point in time. "

" I personally think it's a no brainer, however I am biased.

I have had zero (nil/none) issues with my car (minus the engine mounts), it's literally indestructible. I really don't think you can beat a car up much worse than I do to mine... Point is - there will always be something said about an engine. There will always be some bad eggs in the crate (or however the saying goes). I don't think it's something you need to weigh your decision on, especially considering you don't want to add boost. How many engines have died that you know of? Of those, were they boosted?

Those two last questions should indicate that it's very few - and yes, stock engines have went... We are talking like less than 1% here - and you will likely be covered under warranty based on what you are looking for.

^^^

All of that is what you seem concerned about. You won't find the next engine to be close to this thing. I suggest you try test driving one to feel it out. It's so hard to describe to people - but the throttle response is so above par, it's not even comparable to much anything... Just this alone will make you smile - and let you know that you have something special under the hood. "

Don't forget to set JB4 to map 0, otherwise you cannot comm properly with the DME. "
