• Active Autowerke is releasing a supercharger kit for the Euro E36 M3 S50B32 motor

The S50B32 is a thing of beauty. This was the E36 M3 motor we did not get in the States but should have if BMW respected us. Well, too late for that, but not too late for Active Autowerke to release a supercharger for the popular motor. Unlike the US S50's, the S50B32 has indpendent throttle bodies and you can see how the Active manifold feeds into them. The blower used is an HKS unit likely the GTS8550. Pricing has not been revealed yet but a teaser dyno shows gains of 124 whp, very nice.

Active is a US tuner. They don't have to release anything for the Euro motor. The fact they are doing it is a great thing for modders who are swapping S50B32's into cars.

It's a great thing to have more options and I commend them for doing this.

My next is either e36m or e30 325is and turn that thing into SATAN on wheels. I just met a guy that I might be able to get one for gnarly price. Still gotta finish HPF car.

Some kind if turboed beast would be swapped into e30. When the money comes I'll
        be talking to MaxPsi.

Get an e36 I had a e30 and it felt unsafe as a dd car. I think the e36 is timeless in design when done right.

Only reason to do a euro swap is to keep the m3 n/a and thats why and what i would do to a e36 if not just turbo the us motor with a mls gasket and head studs and leave this kit in the dust

60/40 right Now. Leaning toward e36. Always liked
it. After I knock this hpf bill off I'll start looking. Still much to
        do on my car.

Trm will be releasing obd2 tuning very soon. I may or may not be going full standalone soon. Get a decent example and go from there

There are many reasons to do a Euro swap. You don't just have to do it to keep it NA.

Some people also don't like turbos.

It's an option, not like anyone says you have to use it.

        Because I could?

What if they just want to produce a kit for the ROW cars?

I'd do a euro Swap into an E30. If I got bored this SC might make sense.

Plus the S50B32 is the better motor, better heads, cams, etc. The S50US has more in common with the standard M50.

You are right, you will get more power with a thicker head gasket and turbo but it isn't always about that. Nothing wrong with AA producing this to accommodate a lot of S50B32 motors out there.

Well while we are throwing out dream builds, I would do a stroker all motor S38 into an E30.

Why not just buy an s54? They are readily available in the US.
