    • Mechatronik swapped an M113 AMG V8 into a 1960's W113 280 SL and it is glorious

Mechatronik in Germany does some incredible work. They swap modern Mercedes-AMG components into classic Mercedes vehicles and the builds are so clean they might as well be OEM. Just look at the engine bay on this beauty.

This level of work also comes with an appropriate price tag. How much do they want for this 1969 SL? A cool 300,000 Euros. Affordable this is not but that is not what this is about.

Under the hood lies a 4.3 liter M113 V8. You may remember this motor from the W202 C43 AMG. It looks to be a tight fit but fit it does:

They of course also upgrade the suspension, upgrade the brakes, add ABS, add traction control, and the transmission is also upgraded.

Gorgeous? Unique? A perfect blend of AMG punch with classic Mercedes design? Absolutely.
