    • Stage 1 Eurocharged W212 Mercedes-AMG E63 S 4Matic M157 ECU tune dyno results with methanol injection - 589 awhp

      This W212 Mercedes-AMG E63 S 4Matic belongs to BenzBoost member @Cifnyc. He got a Stage I Eurocharged tune (not a custom dyno tune) and the numbers are impressive. He hit 589 horsepower to the wheels and 643 lb-ft of torque at the wheels.


      He added methanol injection as well. The meth injection line is the green pull:


      It is interesting to note the blue pull without meth injection makes more torque down low but the meth pull makes more horsepower up top.

      The best solution would be a custom dyno tune for the meth and a Stage II tune so to speak.

      Still, very solid results reminding us what a powerhouse and torque monster the M157 5.5 liter AMG V8 is.

        Update 629.awhp 728.awtq. Gutted cats k&n drop in filter and eurocharged retune, 3rd pull is with meth and shows clear gain again

        Just to be clear this is a meth retune with catless downpipes now?

        No im not tuned for meth at all, I chose not to tune for it. The retune was for the catless/gutted stock cats, plus a drop in k&n filter so it was returned to compensate for more intake air flow as well as more exhaust flow. I believe the timing was adjusted a slight boost was added. My meth injection is for consistency and cooling purposes only but I’m getting a power gain from my choice of nozzle placement which is a big plus.

        No the black was just a run to make sure the car was stable on the dyno after they strapped it diwn
        so it was just a run that wasn't actually WOT? I wasn't sure....okay

        Becareful with injecting water/meth pre turbo, I’ve read and seen pictures of damaged turbocharger compressor blades.

        To me nitrous sounds better to cool the air pre turbo, a small 25 shot, but then it’s not serving your purpose or safety.

        I’m interested why aren’t you injecting the meth post turbo?
