    • BQ Tuned E89 Z4 35is DCT on stock N54 turbos vs. Nissan GT-R, E92 M3, 335i, C6, W204 C63 AMG, SL600, etc.

This is the same E89 Z4 we saw do some impressive runs last month. It had a small boost leak then which has since been rectified. It takes on some stout competition and really shows how potent a tuned N54 on the stock turbos can be when paired to a DCT transmission.

The first run is against a 900+ horsepower GT-R. It goes as you would expect.

Next up is an E92 M3. Whatever the mods on the M3 it needs more mods.

A Pure Turbos upgraded E92 335i tries its luck next. He should not have given the Z4 the hit.

An E30 with unknown mods is beaten next.

A bolt on C6 is just obliterated next.

How about a tuned Audi RS3? It does ok in the lower gears but is simply overmatched up top and pulled.

A W204 C63 AMG sedan with an ECU tune is next. It was beaten so easily it is really surprising.

Last but not least is a tuned R230 SL600 V12 twin turbo. Finally a decent race but the Z4 manages to open up a small lead. A tuned SL600 is about 126 mile per hour car depending on the supporting mods and fuel.

This Z4 sure is dialed in.

Nice, sl600 has some good pull up top for such a heavy car....

GTRs are vicious, not even close....

DCT and a few pounds less than a 135 makes a difference for sure.

It's heavier than a 135i, not lighter. Hardtop convertible...

There is a significant difference in weight between the EU and NA Z4 35i(s). I think this is a general fact for most EU vs NA cars ?

I'm sure that's true but not enough to make it lighter than a 135i.
