    • Speedriven releases Mercedes-AMG M157 V8 cooling package - Heat exchanger + intercooler expansion

While these big twin turbo German V8's make a ton of torque they also produce quite a bit of heat. Not to mention the AMG's that house the motor are heavy to begin with. The heat soak is especially noticeable in tuned examples in the summer heat.

Speedriven's heat exchanger and intercooler expansion tank will greatly improve M157 engine cooling.

Additionally, for track junkies they have upgraded oil coolers as well.

Let's take a look at the details from Speedriven:

Throughout the years of building high-performance Mercedes-Benz vehicles, we've had many clients experience power loss due to insufficient cooling. The 5.5L BiTurbo Mercedes engines are not cooled by the traditional intercooler system. Like many newer turbocharged Euros, this twin-turbo V-8 engine uses coolant to cool through an air to water heat exchanger. Though this method works well it can quickly become heat soaked, dampening power.

With that being said, Speedriven is offering a great introduction cooling package deal for the E63 (W212). Right now, get our side mounted heat exchanger and Intercooler expansion bundle for a limited time intro price of $2000.00+tax (including shipping within the USA).

      Side mount heat exchanger:
Our team of Engineers and Performance techs has developed a direct bolt side mount heat exchangers for the E63. Our Performance Heat Exchangers will assist in keeping your intake temps cooler while maintaining your AMG’s highest power output under any type of ambient temperatures.

      Features:

•Bigger, extremely efficient core lowers temperatures by 20-30 degrees Fahrenheit
•CAD designed CNC billet aluminum end tanks
•Added fluid capacity assists with reducing intake temperatures
      •Direct bolt-on

      Intercooler Expansion Tank:
Dramatically improve the consistency of Speedriven car's performance with Speedriven's trunk-mounted intercooler tank. Custom-made to fit invisibly under Speedriven trunk carpet, you sacrifice nothing in terms of appearance or practicality and feel tremendous gains in extreme driving conditions.

      Includes:

      •Pump
      •Hoses
      •Fittings

We know power is important, and having it on tap is even more crucial. So, cool fast and drive faster!

        Cool!

Nice wide opening on the tank to allow for a bag of ice to be dumped in...extra chilly water to cool the charge sub-ambient.

Is this only for face-lifted W212's? Nice to see more M157 stuff coming out.

I applaud what these guys do in pushing the envelope on AMG cars, and have followed a lot of their builds. However, if I remember correctly, the last time they did an oil cooler upgrade it was for the W204 C63 I think, and didn't it perform significantly worse than stock?
