No, we are not making this up. I guess it should not be all that surprising considering this comes from the same people who did a stretch Ferrari 360 limousine. The R8 limo will retain the 5.2 liter V10 from the sports car and will be able to seat 8 people. It is expected to officially launch in the summer of this year and limobroker expects this to become their most popular model. Maybe the Mayans were right? ...

Audi has dominated the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The only real challenge to Audi's dominance has been from Peugeot who managed to beat them in 2009. They put up a great fight in 2011 as well and we were hoping for an epic battle between the two in 2012 but Peugeot has quit with an indefinite return date. The decision is for economic reasons and with how expensive racing is it is understandable. Are we just supposed to give Audi the title in 2012? ...

Audi replaced their V10 turbo diesel race engine that won Le Mans with a 3.7 liter V6 unit in their R18 race car. This new motor was awarded Race Engine of the Year by the publication Race Engine Technology. It is difficult to argue against the 540 horsepower motor which powered the Audi R18 to an overall Le Mans victory in 2011. Additionally, the motor is 25% lighter than the V10 it replaced while using less fuel offering greater efficiency which especially comes in handy in endurance racing. ...

We reported in December last year that Car and Driver claimed the B8 RS4 was not coming. We stated this was weird considering the car had been seen testing repeatedly. Autoblog.nl reports the car is coming and will be available late in 2012. It will be wagon only, no sedan which makes sense with the RS5 on its way to the USA. Expect the B8 RS4 to share the RS5's drivetrain. We want to commend Audi for not abandoning this model, well done. ...

The title may seem a little odd but let us explain. Audi revealed the interior for the new 2013 Audi A3. As you can see in the pictures below, the interior is stunning and typical Audi quality. The nav screen in the interior happened to have digital renderings of the exterior of the car which were snapped up and passed around the internet. So, Audi's intention to reveal the interior also gave us an idea of the exterior design which borrows heavily from the A3 Sedan Concept. Expect the official reveal in Geneva. ...

Good news, we are getting the Q3! Audi made the announcement when they unveiled the Q3 Vail concept at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The Vail Q3 (yes, named after Vail in Colorado) shows what a Q3 can be. A 2.5 liter TFSI turbo 5 cylinder under the hood borrowed from the TT-RS with 314 horsepower is some serious muscle for a compact SUV weighing in the 3300 pound range. It is fed through all wheel drive with 20 inch wheels. ...

Audi likes billboards and making direct comments at their intended audience through them. It is doubtful that any of you forgot the famous Audi and BMW billboard war. This advertisement however should work out much better for Audi as they are not picking a fight with BMW but instead playfully warning residents of Lake Forest, Illinois to stay out of the fast lane as there is an R8 GT on the prowl. Cool, brash, and we like the attitude. ...

The Chinese economy seems to be dropping off quite hard in the automotive sector. BMW, Mercedes, and Audi are all slashing prices some by up to 16%. The future of the Chinese market does not seem to be as bright as it seemed in early 2011 at least when auto sales are concerned. The three mentioned manufacturers all had record sales in China but things slowed at the end of 2011 as the Chinese economy took a downward swing across the board. Manufacturers doing big capacity expansions banking on China to hold steady may be facing a lot of unsold inventory. ...

This 1.4 TFSI is likely a motor most of you do not know about as it is not used in USA applications. It is used widely in Europe though in states of tune ranging from 120-180 horses in various Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT, and Skoda models. This upgrade features their manifold as well as their Lo270 turbocharger. 270 horsepower out of a 1.4 liter four cylinder that can start in the low 120 horsepower range is pretty impressive. Wish we had this motor to play with. ...

These "chrome" wrapped cars are almost already starting to get played out. Last week we saw a blue chrome wrapped Porsche Cayenne. Before that we had a green chrome F10 5 Series which was actually quite nice in its execution. Now Russians bring us a blue chrome C6 RS6. It looks pretty good but the two tone with silver makes it a bit busy. Would probably look better if it was all blue but not bad at all. ...

There are a couple twin turbo options for the V10 motor in the R8 thanks in part to it being shared with the Gallardo. Everyone is probably familiar with Underground Racing and Heffner at this point but MTM also has an offering. You can see the 777 horsepower version here on a chrome R8 in a video MTM released. Chrome isn't our style and we do not exactly like the center exit exhaust at the top but good to have more turbo options for the V10. ...

This is a little weird considering we reported the B8 RS4 model testing as early as July of this year. It was going to be avant only and likely never make it to the USA but still, we are disappointed. Car and Driver states the RS4 has been cancelled in favor of a next generation C7 RS6. Why can't Audi do both exactly? They want to be treated like premium option and become the number one luxury automaker, don't they? Well it takes more than just raw sales size, sometimes you have to act like a big boy to be treated like one. ...

The Audi R8 V10 for some reason has received most of the attention with twin turbo kits. EVOMS is really the only company pushing the 4.2 FSI V8 model this far. Earlier in January of this year we shared a thread that showed the motor being removed to be built with low compression forged internals. Well, the time has come to break in the motor and tune the car. It will be dyno tuned next week and we look forward to seeing the result, well done thus far EVOMS especially with the fuel system on the direct injected V8. ...

The A1 is a cool little car that tuners seem to be taking a liking to. Take MTM for example here who created this 500 horsepower version of the A1 called the Nardo Edition. What did they do to it? Well, they swapped in the TT-RS turbo 2.5 5 cylinder and then gave it a heft power bump to 500. Combine that with a curb weight of 2,645 pounds and you have a potent performance recipe. The redline is raised a bit as well as in the video one can see them winding it out to almost 8,000 rpm. The added power gets the A1 to 324 KPH or 201 miles per hour. ...

Here is a new widebody kit for the Audi Q7 from JE Design. JE Design also shows off their various 22 inch wheel options with the kit. Overall the fender work is great and the kit looks very refined and well done. The square exhaust tips add a very nice look with the diffuser in back built around them. LED's are of course included in the front bumper as LED's are the super hip fad going around. Great work except for the spoiler on the side of the rear windows which looks pretty tacky. Other than that, nicely done. ...

We want to make it clear we cater to all Audi's not just the new models. Enthusiasts come in all forms and we are glad to see a model not traditionally modified (the A8) as well an older generation get some parts. In comes JMS Tuning with their body kit for the A8 consisting of a new front and rear bumper add-on as well as sideskirts. Overall it adds a nice level of aggression to the car and looks pretty good although we could do without the 3 large holes in the rear bumper. ...
