This 1.4 TFSI is likely a motor most of you do not know about as it is not used in USA applications. It is used widely in Europe though in states of tune ranging from 120-180 horses in various Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT, and Skoda models. This upgrade features their manifold as well as their Lo270 turbocharger. 270 horsepower out of a 1.4 liter four cylinder that can start in the low 120 horsepower range is pretty impressive. Wish we had this motor to play with. ...

These "chrome" wrapped cars are almost already starting to get played out. Last week we saw a blue chrome wrapped Porsche Cayenne. Before that we had a green chrome F10 5 Series which was actually quite nice in its execution. Now Russians bring us a blue chrome C6 RS6. It looks pretty good but the two tone with silver makes it a bit busy. Would probably look better if it was all blue but not bad at all. ...

There are a couple twin turbo options for the V10 motor in the R8 thanks in part to it being shared with the Gallardo. Everyone is probably familiar with Underground Racing and Heffner at this point but MTM also has an offering. You can see the 777 horsepower version here on a chrome R8 in a video MTM released. Chrome isn't our style and we do not exactly like the center exit exhaust at the top but good to have more turbo options for the V10. ...

This is a little weird considering we reported the B8 RS4 model testing as early as July of this year. It was going to be avant only and likely never make it to the USA but still, we are disappointed. Car and Driver states the RS4 has been cancelled in favor of a next generation C7 RS6. Why can't Audi do both exactly? They want to be treated like premium option and become the number one luxury automaker, don't they? Well it takes more than just raw sales size, sometimes you have to act like a big boy to be treated like one. ...

The Audi R8 V10 for some reason has received most of the attention with twin turbo kits. EVOMS is really the only company pushing the 4.2 FSI V8 model this far. Earlier in January of this year we shared a thread that showed the motor being removed to be built with low compression forged internals. Well, the time has come to break in the motor and tune the car. It will be dyno tuned next week and we look forward to seeing the result, well done thus far EVOMS especially with the fuel system on the direct injected V8. ...

The A1 is a cool little car that tuners seem to be taking a liking to. Take MTM for example here who created this 500 horsepower version of the A1 called the Nardo Edition. What did they do to it? Well, they swapped in the TT-RS turbo 2.5 5 cylinder and then gave it a heft power bump to 500. Combine that with a curb weight of 2,645 pounds and you have a potent performance recipe. The redline is raised a bit as well as in the video one can see them winding it out to almost 8,000 rpm. The added power gets the A1 to 324 KPH or 201 miles per hour. ...

Here is a new widebody kit for the Audi Q7 from JE Design. JE Design also shows off their various 22 inch wheel options with the kit. Overall the fender work is great and the kit looks very refined and well done. The square exhaust tips add a very nice look with the diffuser in back built around them. LED's are of course included in the front bumper as LED's are the super hip fad going around. Great work except for the spoiler on the side of the rear windows which looks pretty tacky. Other than that, nicely done. ...

We want to make it clear we cater to all Audi's not just the new models. Enthusiasts come in all forms and we are glad to see a model not traditionally modified (the A8) as well an older generation get some parts. In comes JMS Tuning with their body kit for the A8 consisting of a new front and rear bumper add-on as well as sideskirts. Overall it adds a nice level of aggression to the car and looks pretty good although we could do without the 3 large holes in the rear bumper. ...

Wow, way to go Audi! We must say it is pretty damn cool they are building this thing. This is the vehicle we previously reported as the RS1 but it will officially be called the A1 Quattro. It will get a 2.0T as stated in that report although we wish it had the concepts 500 horsepower 2.5 liter turbo 5 cylinder. Beggars can't be choosers, we are just happy they are building the limited edition (only 333 units) car. The only downside? The USA will not be getting it. ...

The R8 is getting a refresh, we hope everyone knows that by now. Next year it is getting a horsepower bump for both the V8 and the V10 as well as a dual clutch transmission (DSG). After this refresh though a new R8 is coming to market as a successor in 2014 and CAR reports it will likely get the updated V8 for the entry level model and the V10 may be replaced by the 4.0 liter twin turbo V8. It will lose the sideblades and get a more aggressive look. Curb weight will drop about 220 pounds thanks to carbon fiber and aluminum. If it looks as good as this rendering along with those changes, wow. ...

Donkervoort is kind of a funny name, isn't it? Regardless of what you think of it they make some pretty serious track cars. These are minimilistic drivers cars with no extra luxuries. Just lightweight, pure, simple, and fast. Now really fast as the D8 GTO will have the Audi 5 cylinder turbo motor in a state of tune from 340-400 horsepower. With a curb weight of about 1500 pounds that is going to move pretty darn quickly. The initial production run of about 25 cars is just about sold out and with a price of about 100-150 thousand Euros that is fine with us. ...

Mercedes is having a record year in the USA but globally Audi is poised to take second place from Mercedes positioning themselves to make a run at the overall crown held by BMW. Audi leads Mercedes globally by 56,000 units with the rest of the month to go. This year marks an 18% jump up for Audi versus 7% for Mercedes. BMW beat both automakers globally in November and is poised to set a new overall record in yearly sales surpassing their 2007 mark of 1,276,793. ...

For most of us the Audi A1 is pretty irrelevant considering that it is not sold in the USA. Even if it was, it lacks a certain masculinity to it. It just seems like way too small of a car giving it a certain cutesy factor. Well, this 4 door rendering changes that impression a bit as it makes the vehicle look a bit larger and masculine. Kind of cool and it would be an interesting Golf alternative if it was ever made. The rendering itself is pretty good although the rear door is not as clean as we would expect with part of line cutting into the fender. ...

Congratulations to Audi for winning this award! This would make the third straight time the Audi 3.0 TFSI supercharged V6 has won this award. A very, very nice run. Audi trails BMW and General Motors however for overall wins and Audi's wins do include Volkswagen as well. Audi is ahead of Ford, Nissan, Mercedes, Porsche, and several other distinguished competitors. Direct injection and forced induction are starting to dominate this ward which obviously does not take performance or the aftermarket into account. ...

Walter de Silva let it slip in an interview with Automotive News Europe that the Audi Q6 is in fact coming, "We will definitely launch a sportier crossover in between the Q7 and Q5." No timetable for when it will come to market was mentioned. This model will be a key piece in Audi's goal of taking the overall sales lead from BMW. Silva went on to say they also plan to challenge the future BMW X4 with a sportier model based on the Q5 which would likely be called a Q4. ...
