Don't worry, the people in charge at BMW have not completely lost their minds... yet. Somebody just make sure they don't get a hold of these photoshops. Theophilus Chin has created his take on an X3 coupe. Does it work? In our opinion, not really. But with 2 door SUV's starting a new segment craze and how BMW seems to be into pushing into segments they don't need to (5 GT anyone?) don't be surprised to see this. Just expect it to happen with an X4, not with the X3. ...

Prestige Styling of the UK has taken their stab at the BMW X6. The front and rear arches are widened along with the restyled front and rear bumpers. The side skirts are redesigned to give a more aggressive look making the vehicle appear lower to the ground. The rear door panel is also modified to give a wider look. A custom exhaust and wheels round out the package. Pricing information is below. ...

Ladies and gentlemen, It is this time of year again.... I have reserved Famoso Raceway (1/4 mile drag strip) on November 20th for our exclusive use. We will have both lanes available to us as well as full use of the entire facility including the barbecue grills I am announcing the event earlier than usual this time to give enough time to people who are currently working on their car(s) or have on-going projects to wrap up their projects and bring their cars to the track for live testing and maybe even fine tuning. In the past, every time I organized one of these events I ended-up losing $300 to $600 out of pocket, which was okay until last year.... last time I ended-up paying $2400 out of pocket mostly in last minute cancellations. Lesson learned, so this time we're doing it by the book ...

Check out this video of West Coast Racing constructing a Z4 GT3 race car. The work depicted is approximately 600 hours. The Z4 GT3 is powered by an S65 V8 used in the M3. Top notch work done by these fellows from Sweden. Also check out the video below of the car in action on the track! ...

Earlier this weak we showed you an X5 jump that went wrong. Today we bring you another X5 mishap. The Russian owner of this X5 wanted to show off his new ride and drove it right onto the beach. The X5 has some nice off road capability but it won't save you from getting yourself stuck in the sand. Eventually, they were able to free the car after some time spent digging and pushing. You can see the embarrassed owner high-tailing it out of there in the last photo. ...

Why buy one of those overpriced FMIC's out there for ~$1000 when you easily can build a bigger one for $300? (All hoses and pipes included)
The IC it self costs $240 and the pipes and silicone hoses costs $60 from a shop here in Sweden. I like to do things by my self, so I said to my self; Why not give it a try? This specific IC has an area of 13770 cm3. ...

Eisenmann is currently working on the exhaust for the new 535i. BimmerBoost sponsor IND has provided us with a sneak peak of the exhaust on the car. The tips clearly give it a more aggressive look. Check out the links to the videos for the sound and if interested take a look at the Eisenmann North America website: www.eisenmann-na.com/ ...

This is 20% on all software, stroker motors, superchargers, and S2 and S3 packages. Dinan has had sales each month now and with these sales the prices drop to a reasonable level. For example, the S65 M3 stroker drops to $20,799. We have been quite critical of Dinan pricing and for good reason, with these discounts it is clear just how large of a margin they had in their pricing which has been jumping around. The stroker motor just a few months ago was listed at $24,999. If someone is interested in a Dinan package, this is a good time to buy: www.dinanbmw.com ...

We don't have many details on this X5 as Mansory has not provided any official details. As a matter of fact, Mansory does not even claim to have any packages for BMW's. Yet, here we have photos of a Mansory kit on an X5 M. We wish we had more details of this mystery X5 M and the tuning package from Mansory, but this all we were able to find. From the looks of it, the car has modified fenders as well as a new hood, front/rear bumpers, and a modified exhaust. The Mansory wheels also complete the look. ...

Congratulations to Irishace who has the car of the month for September, 2010. This vehicle is the quickest 135 in Canada. The car has beautiful black rims and is not overdone stylistically. The vehicle is about performance and it certainly has performed. Check out Irshace's GARAGE for more photos along with his dyno and timeslips. ...

      Another amazing review by Former_Boosted_IS:

The trend of snapped half shafts (axles) on the entire 335i & 135i platforms has been increasing rapidly since many people have surpassed the 400 rwhp / 400 rwtq mark. To be honest, the trend is a bit disturbing. We have members on the forums who have broken three sets of half shafts on their car! Some refuse to track their car because they fear breaking more half shafts and they don’t want the embarrassing “tow of shame” home. I will even admit I have been very concerned about slapping on some drag radials or slicks because I just didn’t want to deal with breaking mine. We have seen failures with both the half shaft’s bar and within the inner universal CV. It has even been hinted that one of the tuners snapped his half shafts during a run at the track. This is clearly the single weakest link we have seen thus far on the drive train of all N54s. If we are to move forward with big power on the N54 then it means we have to identify the weak links and find fixes. The big problem is that there have been no option for half shaft upgrades at all… oh, that is until now. ...

We are not sure what the owner was thinking here. Apparently, he was trying to do a cool jump with his X5 and become a youtube hero. Well, he achieved that just not in the way he expected. ...

The tuner Enco Exclusive gives us their take on the BMW X6. They gives the car a widebody look with modified fenders and sideskirts. The front and rear bumpers are modified as well, name the rear, to account for the interesting exhaust. The custom exhaust is moved up to under the hatch in a style that somewhat resembles the Carrera GT. We don't really feel it works on the X6 but it is different. A set of 23 inch wheels completes the look along with matte black wrapping for the top of the car. Different? Yes. Good? Well.. we leave that part up to you. ...

The Rahal-Letterman racing team managed to finish on the podium yet again in the ALMS series. BMW has finished on the podium in every single race this season. The problem is they finished in third place and Patrick Long/Joerg Bergmeister in the Porsche GT3 won the race. This means Porsche will take over first place. Patrick Long and Joerg Bermeister have our respect as they simply have been the best drives in ALMS this season and have taken a couple races from BMW. Unfortunately, the number 90 m3 did not finish the race due to a collision. It all comes down to the Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta on October 2nd. BMW most likely needs to win the race to win the championship. ...

Lumma Design has revealed their body kit for the F10 5 series. The kit includes modified front and rear fascia as well as a carbon fiber hood and spoiler. The fenders are also modified for a wider stance. Lumma does include tuning for any of the turbo powerplants along with an exhaust. There is also a program for the interior with custom stitching and different trim pieces. It is aggressive overall but the front LED look is starting to get played out and doesn't really belong on the BMW. ...
