    • Patent photos reveal the W222 S-Class Pullman design which is very, very stretched and to be produced by Brabus

So as you know Maybach is dead and Mercedes does not have any plans to resurrect the brand to produce new cars any time soon. Rather than make a premium Maybach that is just based on an S-Class platform anyway Mercedes decided to resurrect the Pullman name for a premium S-Class instead. The patent photos make the car look much, much longer than the previous spyphotos leading to some questions as to whether the spyphotos were of the Pullman or just a stretched S600.

Supposedly Brabus will be charged with producing the model which means it will be very limited and carry a very premium price tag. The seating arrangement is also expected to be 2+2+2 which certainly is doable with the length displayed in the patent photos.

There still are many questions remaining such as what is it that we saw previously that was reported as the Pullman and whether this is just a one-off Brabus project backed by Mercedes. Regardless, an ultra premium long wheelbase S-Class is on the way.

Was kind of hoping for something that would set itself apart, and not just be a comically long S600, as this is. The Maybach wasn't a bad idea, just needed better execution. Was hoping for the same idea with proper execution this time.

        I definitely agree with you.
