Let's take a look at the downpipe, midpipe, and heat shield. The pieces themselves are obviously beautiful. Weistec takes a maximum performance approach to their parts as their downpipe is catless unlike the factory piece which contains an integrated catalytic converter. This obviously is a major area of restriction and with this restriction removed the car breathes much better.
How much better? How about an additional 27 horsepower at all four wheels courtesy of the Weistec downpipe and midpipe only on 91 octane pump gas?
A very healthy gain from exhaust modifications alone on pump gas without a tune. Additionally, there is no check engine light generated by the catless downpipe. The price for the downpipe and midpipe (which includes the heat shield below) is $1,795.00.
- 100% mandrel bent and TIG welded

As the turbocharger is mounted up top this can lead to considerable heat in the engine bay. Heat soak of course becomes a concern and this means reduced performance after multiple wide open throttle pulls. In warm weather areas this is especially noticeable. Weistec created a heat shield for this reason and the pictures depict the design and its purpose perfectly:
With Weistec heat shield in place:
At $295.00 the upgrade is a no-brainer: http://weistec.com/m133heatshield.html
